Not sure if I agree with major titles like Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2 going mobile. They'd be significantly cut down to cater for the mobile hardware, kinda ruining the flash, bang and ginormous wallop these titles were made to carry in the first place (visually too).
Then again, I'm a bit of a Scrooge and don't find mobile gaming rather appealing at all. Or it's probably the fact that I have a rubbish phone that couldn't support titles I would like to try. :P
In terms of business however, I think it's a smart move that Capcom are taking more steps to ensure that they get a big slice in, what is undoubtedly, a rather big market. Mobile gaming is easier and more accessible than even handheld gaming of the DS/PSP nature (you're bound to take your mobile around with you more than a console). These brand names (Resident Evil, etc.) are also powerhouses in the gaming industry, giving them a bit more added gloss and appeal.

Personally I don't like playing games on a phone. My thumbs are too pudgy to jab the right buttons.
I'd much rather turn my psp into a phone than play games on an awkwardly small phone and lose the playability.

Orly?
It's probably just me and my phone then. I had it unlocked and since then the number 8 key doesn't work so well. Writing messages without the use of t, u or v has become a daily challenge.

im all up for games on iphone, that seems to have some pretty half decent games on it. they shouldn't try and make the games like the console versions though, give it some twist so they can maximise the gameplay and keep the fiddley controls to a minimum
I'm all for mobile gaming. I have two games on my phone, Sonic Jump and Metal Slug which are both spin-offs. Now I don't think games should be cut down to fit but spin-offs that fill in a few gaps instead.

I personally am not a fan. So it doesn't matter to me what happens with this. Just hopefully they have the sense not to add anything new to the storyline of a series via a new platform, ala resistance. God dammit we can't all afford to buy the latest stuff to keep up with a game!
I also don't use my mobile for gaming, so no interest at all...

I don't use my phone for games, but its something to do when you're out somehow stuck in a situation with nothing to do.

i use alot of different games on my ipod, apps are pretty good for killing those boring times when your at work or on a train or something...having full games on them just doesnt work though because its not something your going to be playing for a long time
theres only so long I can even play my PSP or DS for due to the small screens and cramp inducing button layout
