Here is a copy of my post on the MotoGP 08 Support forum...do you think ill get a reply?

The game does not allow me to change the default joypad settings ffs

This is not very helpful...I had a similar problem with SBK08, another Milestone game that I instantly trashed due to these issues

My system is as follows: -

P4 3.2
2gb DDR
ATI X1950 Pro
Win XP Pro
Latest DirectX

My gamepad is the Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad Mk1 (uses same drivers as Mk2)

How is it that a game made by one person (GP Bikes) has the most comprehensive controller setup of any racing game I have seen, yet this excellent looking game that has been developed and published by large corporations out to make as much money as possible fails at step 1 to actually make me want to play it

HELLO, HELLO...I CANT SET MY GAMEPAD UP AS I WANT TO...GET IT SORTED OR ILL RETURN THIS PIECE OF SHITE

Yes its the exact same prob as i did have with SBK08, i do use a xbox360 controller on windows Vista
the problem is located somewhere in the game it doesnt matter what OS system/controller we are running (i reckon)
i did manage to fix it for SBK08 (long study  )
since the problem in MGP08 is the exact same i could do the same thing again, and guess what ......... voila....
i can use right stick for steering now (as an axis)
the only way to do this is with an hexeditor

hopefully capcom will fix this (i do have my doubts though, no fix for SBK08)
and yes i agree its very strange to have these kind of problems with a new released game... i have never seen it before

You have just quoted the recommended specs deleted, my pc meets the minimum requirements and the game runs fine so keep your obtuse comments to yourself.

No flaming, please. Tenebra
