i got windows vista on my laptop with directX 10 and Service Pack 1, and i installed the game MotoGP 08 on it. the instalation worked perfect, but when i wanted to start the game it gave an error saying: This application has failed to start because X3DAudio1_3.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
i looked all over the internet but i still dont have a clue about how to solve the problem

i also tried to intall the game on 2 other computers, but they al gave the same error about the directx

are there more people who got this problem?

This is not very helpful...I had a similar problem with SBK08, another Milestone game that I instantly trashed due to these issues :idea:

P4 3.2
2gb DDR
ATI X1950 Pro
Win XP Pro
Latest DirectX

My gamepad is the Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad Mk1 (uses same drivers as Mk2)

How is it that a game made by one person (GP Bikes) has the most comprehensive controller setup of any racing game I have seen, yet this excellent looking game that has been developed and published by large corporations out to make as much money as possible fails at step 1 to actually make me want to play it

my Problem is nearly the same as that from nemesiZ.

Moto GP 08 ......install. with no Problem , but if i want to start the game.....i got an error message DirectX cant be initialisaton ( DirectX kann nicht initialisiert werden !?!?):mad:

Moto GP URT run without Problems....

Vista Ultimate 64 / DirectX10

Any Ideas ?????

I have the same video card (agp) and os as jerm and after many installs/uninstalls the result is the same.....upon start of race three frames at super slow

speed then total block of game.To note that the intro videos also play at stuttering speed.(just updated audio card drivers as well.Dx 9.oc installed.)

Installation problems hit MotoGP 08

Capcom issues instructions to PC gamers to ensure they dont run into trouble.

Capcom has announced it has identified a technical issue with the PC version of MotoGP 08. The issue only arises when installing the game to a custom location on a hard drive and does not affect the default installation.

To avoid problems, Capcom advises consumers not to use the custom installation option, but should follow these instructions:

When the MotoGP 08 InstallShield Wizard reaches the step labelled Choose Destination Location, the default installation directory will be displayed (C:Program FilesCapcomMotoGP 08 ). Select Next to continue to the next step. Do not press the Change button.

Capcom notes that a patch to correct the installation issue will be released in the next few days and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

I also get a cannot add folder when installing message.

This is interesting. I bought the game SBK 08 on ebay since it was never released here in the USA and I cant play it because I get the exact same error Failed to Initialize Direct X. I am not sure who the manufacturer of SBK 08 is but I have emailed their tech support 15 times with NO RESPONSE. All I can figure is it is a problem with a driver, obviously, but I have yet to find a fix for it which renders my game...useless! I have updated all my drivers I dont know how many times and nothing seems to work. Time to return the game I guess.
