After playing one hour, and test all categories in simulation mode, i think :

Simulation ( 2/10 ) :
Is not a simulation at all, i explain it in another post.

Arcade ( 7/10 ) :
Funny for those who hasn t experience in race games.

Graphics ( 5/10 ) :
Seems more a PS2 game than a PS3 one. Pixeled textures, and a hairline redrawing in the middle of the track .... I really hope more for a PS3, other games are really far away in graphics quality ( GT5 ) and also in 720p ( Motorstorm ).

Sound ( 3/10 ) :
MotoGP is .... fair, but 125 and 250 sounds like a Sega Megadrive. If you have seen sometimes in your live a race at tv, you can notice that it doesnt match the bike sound at all. Yesterday i must put the speakers very low , because im starting to have a headache ... In some turns you can hear the bike changing gears up and down very quick, with a really annoying and funny sound ( piii pooo pii poo pii pooo .... ).

Camera Views ( 8/10 ) :
Several options, i really like it.

Game Play ( 6/10 ) :
The bike moves good, and the reactions are good to. Some strange reactions in certain moments, but i think we only need play more. In 2T bikes, when you cut off gas, the bikes keep the RPM and havent any engine brake, motoGP mode is better than 125 and 250 in this.

Online Mode ( 3/10 ) :
No voice chat, no private slots, no settings on the bike, and when you play, some strange things happen, other riders seems to crash but don crash, and it will make you crazy. You can not create a championship.

Bike settings ( 2/10 ) :
Simply as a toy, SBK is better by far in this ( why Milestone ??? )

Helmets desing ( 0/10 ) :
Who has desing these helmets ??? Are really really ugly .... Why cant i choose a simply white helmet ???? .....

Overall Rating : 5/10
I was waiting too many months for this game, and is not what i think. Lot of work to do Milestone and Capcom ...

Thats my first impression. I will play more tonight and see, but im not happy with the game.

Sorry about my english.

Mutliplatform games arent always the same. I think the PS3 version is more bugged than the PC version. Graphics on the PC are better. You may have a point when you say the sound isnt very good. Online racing sucks overall with games. But I have a question: Is the bike settings just soft, medium and hard tires, wheelbase between 1400 and 1600 mm and the suspension? Like previous games.

Must say very disappointed, doesnt even come close to Motogp 06/07 from Climax, poor graphics, not good enough for a next Gen console, this game shouldve been œ20 max (and id still feel robbed)

The track maps are poor and inacurate, lots of tearing on the graphics, sound ok for Motogp bikes but it beggers belief that the developer fails to realise 125 and 2 fiddies are Two Stroke engines and not four stroke as the sound depicts, also all bikes handle the same be it Motogp or 125, this is an example of how to screw up what was an excellent game (Climax version), im writing letters to Capcom, Dorna and Milestone..... 1/10

Capcom, hang your head in shame.........

Hi All,

Got the game today and after first play I did not really like the game. Yet running it an hour later or so i started to like it.
Nothing wrong with the graphics, and believe me im picky when it comes to graphics ;)
Sound is so so, like the MotoGP Honda and Suzuki the most. Dont care for 125 or 250 really, but could been worse too ;) (Try the bikes in Midnight Club LA and youll know what I mean) Never understood why its so hard to make good bike sounds, I mean in onboard view the sound should be dimmed as racers us helmets........

But overall I like this game, dont care for simulation being real or not, it never will be as you miss many factors. If you wont the real thing, get a license, buy a bike and find a circuit ;)

Oh but if theres gonna ba an update, then please fix:

1) Gears for quick race at Mugello, as the bikes now keep hitting the limiter on the straight...thats really bad :(
2) Where are the clutch and brake levers in on-board view?
3) Suzuki bikes have a weird black dot on the left side (left suspension adjuster).
4) Please add revs light that flashes when we need to shift gear (like the real bikes have)

Cheers!
ps: as to date no game has topped the 1998 GP500 PC game.

Hi All

Not at all impressed by the game, I didnt expect much from a game being released so soon after getting the rights but I got caught up in the hype and the trailers online. The game has not moved on at all since moto gp 07 I know its different companies handling the game but technology moves on and this is more like a PS2 game. Have you seen how narrow Mugello is down to the 1st corner? & I know Brno has undulations but that hill is ridiculous, though it is worse on SBK 08.

Milestone should not have the rights to the game because Moto GP and WSBK are to different sports regardless of 2 wheels. Maybe Jester should be given the next contract if their small studio can handle it, they know how to make bike games.

Attention to detail is everthing that includes bikes, tracks, everything. Moto GP 07 was a good game and 08 should have been able to carry on in the same way, it seems to have taken a backwards step, even Moto GP 06 has more than this apart from the stupid street racing (& 07). I dont expect to think Im Valentino but with the power of these consoles alot is left to be desired.

Things Ive noticed include ....

1. Why do the windsheilds/bubbles have a tint? makes seeing the track on cloudy days very hard, the real bikes screens are clear, its the helmet visors that are tinted, silly milestone.
2. The 125s have increadible low end torque for a two stroke, its soo easy to spin out at low revs its completely unrealistic, they have the characteristics of big twins.
3. The A.I. is appalling, they brake soo deep into corners its almost superhuman, then they crawl around the corner and then speed off into the distance, they are obviously blind, or maybe my bike is invisible, because they keep ramming me no matter how late into a corner I brake, very annoying.
4. Its basically SBK 08 with different bikes, more tracks, quicker saves, slightly inferior graphics, more scenery. Why?
5. It has way too many bugs not to be a beta.

ps: as to date no game has topped the 1998 GP500 PC game.

New generation consoles, stunning graphic power, big HDD, 1080p .... and i think the same, we just have a worse game than 1998 GP500 PC.

Perhaps the best option will be buy 1998 game code, and try to port it to consoles, and then you only need to work in better graphics .....

10 years has past, whats happening ??
