next-gen Viewtiful Joe in HD....that would be awesome!! *_*
Haha yeah, I was thinking about posting that article here, but it doesn't really say that he'll have a chance to.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HIRE HIM AGAIN AND HAVE HIM MAKE IT! <3
(As mentioned at the party) The whole reason for me joining the forums was to ask if Viewtiful Joe 3 was going to be released (and an English version of NamcoXCapcom).
I'd go buy this game, dressed in Red spandex if it were released.

Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya has admitted that he'd like to make a new Viewtiful Joe game.
Kamiya directed the brilliant side-scrolling beat 'em up which was released on GameCube in 2003, and although Viewtiful Joe will make an appearance in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom next year, he hasn't played the lead role in a game since Double Trouble hit DS three years ago.
However, as Kamiya told Game Informer (http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2009/12/07/news-kamiya-wants-to-return-to-viewtiful-joe-not-okami.aspx), the Viewtiful Joe saga isn't finished.
"I don't have the rights to any of the IPs that I've made," admitted Kamiya who left Capcom to form Platinum Games. "They belong to the companies that publish them, and they're a business so they have a right to exploit those IPs as they want... Viewtiful Joe is probably all I've got left.
"That story is incomplete so I'd like to finish it someday. But that would probably be the most difficult one to do."
We hope he does finish it because punching helicopters out of the sky in first two VJ games was the mutt's nuts.

Good news about Viewtiful Joe, but it's a bit of a shame that he doesn't want to touch anymore Okami, when in my opinion, Okami was a really great and artistically appealing game.
Ah well, at least there's good news in this. ;)
Hopefully this revival will mean more Dante cameo's. :P
But I agree that it's a shame about Okami, but I wouldn't say that he's dismissed it entirely, just shoved it on the back burner for now.
Hmmmm. Have to say though that the last couple of viewtiful joe gsmes (the ds on and that stupid red hot rumble thing) were not very good. niether was mad world when it came down to it. i think clover had a nice idea with viewtiful joe but were unable to properly develop it beyond the first game. rather than see a classic game diluted by poor sequels, i'd rather they concentrated on other ip's.
p.s: dante: love the festive avatar mate! awesome!

I would like to see this. If Capcom approaches Platinum and they put the same amount of effort into it as Beyonetta, I could see it working.
Clayonite had already made a thread about this in the "all Capcom Games" section.
Since it's more deserving of a place there, I'm merging these threads.
*Schloooooop*
I loved all of the Viewtiful Joe games, though I haven't played the DS one (or PSP one?). I've got to go back to this game...I think I got stuck fighting this guy who looks VJ, but is black. You fight on a rooftop? Well, I was stuck there anyway :o
