View Full Version : Dark Void first-to-play event
Shortest ever notice, sorry!
We'll be running a first-to-play in our Hammersmith offices tomorrow, we have 4 places left for the morning (10am to 1pm) and 1 place for the afternoon session (2pm to 5pm). With the game being rated 16+, attendees will need to be 16 years of age or older.
First come, first served, wave if you want to come and see us tomorrow!

It is like you have read my mind as I was going to ask you what time it was in the afternoon. That is nice as I can have the tutorial and then take the underground from Portland Street or 27 at 1pm. :D
Please forgive me in advance if I start playing Dark Void with my eyes closed or call you Sarah!! :o
Wish wish wish I could go, but I'm working :(
Charmed, I have you confirmed with CaptainCortez for the pm session, and I also have Shadowrep, Sinister and Rayne for the morning one.
GAH! That's like 5846886278916817486 Miles away!

Yes!!! I am not alone!
See you there, Diogo. ;)
I'm free the rest of the day, too. Also, I think Sin and Raine are staying through the afternoon event, too. That's what they said to me.
Aww, I miss Shadowrep haha. Him and BloodShuntGear are hilarious at times. Had so many funny conversations. Evil Dead....they will remember. They just mentioned a part, and that was all I needed to say; "Evil Dead". :p
It shall be fun. :D
Can't wait to see you all again, but it would have to be a weekend, and far in advance :D

Haha, Jack, if you ask Chiara really really nicely with a cherry on top!!! Then you might be able to stay through both sessions, haha. If so, my psp shall arrive again, but I can't stay for too long, as I need to get pizza with my best friend tomorrow.
Buy one get one free at Domino's! :D

You paying? Besides this is off topic...or maybe not, as pizza is normally if not always at Capcom. :p
I think it's because of Capcom i love pizza.. or the other way around..
And maybe i'll chip in.. it's not as if i have too much money right now.. :shhh:
I must mention something to keep it on topic..
Woo! Dark Void!!
Unfortunately, I had to sit this one out, but as you are reading this the following morning, I expect a full report of the proceedings, and photo's. :D
I am interested in Dark Void, depending on how well it does depends on how much that stuff I got at the christmas party will sell on Ebay...
...Only kidding, they'll have to rip that swag bag out of my cold, dead, hands :P. I played some of it at the party and it was rather good, jetpacks! (does rocketeer pose)

So did you guys enjoy the game then? Good game, amirite? :P
I liked it, i dont think im going to fall in love with it the way i always seem to end up doing with the games that come out of the in house numbered studios though. The most fun bit is the way your head twists all around (well at least mine did anyway) whilst you are flying stuff, its like when you lean into the corners when watching on board f1 :P

Ah it was hilarious as we were sharing a console between 3 of us, so Jack needed the controls inverted, and Diogo and myself needed it verted, so we kept crashing and dying everytime the controller got passed around!
I got used to both in the end I think though, and the melee moves were pretty fun.
The graphics were nice, and the controls took a little getting used to, but I think they worked alright in the end. It was the constant flying and witching to hover mode and releasing to freefall which seemed a bit confusing at first. Usually I can jump straight in with anything, but dunno that was all I was thinking.
The game had some amusing points, and at one part you're in a room with a screen that has a face of a huge jabba the hutt like typed ugly thing. You have a fight here, and pretty much blow holes in the screen, so it looks like you're damaging his face.
I wouldn't say it was a triple A title or anything, but I will say it's definitely worth playing, as it's pretty fun.
I could see it becoming repetitive, but if the story is really really good, then it's definitely worth a purchase. The flying actually isn't that bad, and can be pretty fun switching in and out of flight mode........plus you can jump on the heads of your artificially intelligent friends. :p
Yea, was pretty good fun. I still prefer the swinging mechanic of Bionic Commando, but Dark Void is in now way a bad game. It just doesn't feel like a title equivalent to a Hollywood movie.
Also, thanks very much again for having us up there, Chiara! ;)
The pizza was good. :D
