Whaw, no wonder the game isn't being discussed, even though it's being released in one more month. (And then a long couple of days)

How the forum managed to go without a decent chat thread about the game, and only a few questions or afterthoughts, I'll never get.

Is there absolutely no hype for this game, other then the four people who posted in those topics?

TvC fans, let me hear you roar!
Who will be your main and their second-in-command?
Your favorite character from each side?
Did you play the Japanese version (arcade/home) or is this your first step into the VS games?

TVC WHOOOOO!

I am really looking forward to this. I picked up a Classic Controller Pro this week ready to play.

After playing the Expo demo I will be setting up Zero as one of my mains. I'll probably team him up Yatterman-1, Jun or Morrigan. I have to say I prefer Vs Morrigan to the original.

Still, I have waited a long time for Viewtiful Joe in a Vs game. I will definitely be playing around with teams though.

I REALLY really want to be a bit able to play Gold Lightan.
I can't help it, but I loved the Zippo-guy when I watched the movie.

But normal height-wise, I wanna have a go at Alex, Joe the Condor, Batsu/Rockman and DEFINITELY joke around with Doronjo. ^_^

Except.. y'know.. I'll have to get a Wii again first, since I gave mine away after there were no more games coming out after No More Heroes, Zack&wiki and Raving Rabbids. <_<

After having played it a bit more then one casual game at Expo, I'm confirming it as a day one buy.

Even with some people knowing what they were doing, the game didn't feel like being slaughtered, MvC2 style, and I really DO love Lightan's shout-outs and special.

I'll reconsider my Doronjo and Alex choices now though, since they don't feel that nice to play to me.

Even though he'll be a horrible Noob-magnet, I guess I'm picking up Karas, since that seemed to work out pretty well against Dan from Destructoid. 8)

lol, ben and kazama are good jarlino but i have a sneaking suspiscion there not even close to pro level so im pretty sure it will be more than possible to slaughter people just as bad as you can in mvc2 if you know what you are doing :-P

Yeah probably but at least it will involve a bit more skill than say a crouching Magneto with the same attack. Also MVC2 is the most broken game ever made.

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom is a continuation of MvC2, so it's bound to be somewhat broken.

I know that Karas was top tier, but was toned down TREMENDOUSLY for the EU edition.
And I don't really see the Ryu/Batsu combo as broken, but still the most commonly used team, probably because of their projectiles.

I'm not pro at all. Played it briefly in Japanese arcades but not a whole lot to get to grips with Baroques and Mega Crash. Just the very basics of combos and launchers.

The Ryu/Batsu team was my first team. My Japan team since both are Japanese and I was in Japan at the time. Ryu is obvious since he's my favourite character ever, Batsu was just an eventual decision based on who else was available. Not a big Morrigan fan and the others I couldn't see being comfortable using from the get go. Batsu ended up having same command settup as Ryu. His range is a bit sucky though. My other team was Ryu and Ken but I avoided Ken at the party simply because I forgot what he could do. I'll pick up Karas and Joe (Gatchaman) when I get the game (probably not on release since I have to go buy a stick as well, ugggh!).

On a side note, I don't play Marvel at all. I'm so bad at that game. Might go back to it soon....

I like the idea of the stages having shifting background activity, kinda like the stages in Brawl.
Hope that there's other Cameo's, like the servbots in the flying fortress stage. <3

Just going back to this for a sec; To me MVC2 was game that wasn't really finished. There really didn't seem to be any balancing or QA done to it. When you can perfect a guy with ininfite combos like this you know there's a problem:

TVC on the other hand is looking like a lot more effort went into it. While there may be things that people don't like (can't please everyone, right?) it won't be anywhere near as glitchy or unbalanced.

I reccomend Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (PAL version Wii only). There's the KoF collection as well.

Well i got one of the hori ex2 style sticks (the ones capcom have had at the christmas party, eurogamer and mcm) off ebay for £25 quid a few months back so im sorted. Still i do fancy swapping the buttons out and plugging the unnecessarys, guess ill have to get through another annoying ex2 mod, desoldering the buttons from the circuit board is such a pain :(

No. The arcade version of the New Generation Crossover Heroes was made on a Wii based board. The game was always made to for the Wii.

Darn, I wanted to post the Ai-chan announcement, but the forum was down.

I like her SO much more then Yatterman, tough I think the Omotchama (dice robot) special is as ridiculous as The Hulk's air crash in Marvel vs Capcom 2. <_<

She's not my type of character, but I'd love to see what people can pull of with her, and myself in casual play. 8D

She looks pretty interesting. Her combos sorta remind me of Soki's new ones in that she does a stagger kind of special and then follows it with an ariel combo.

Well, she really seems to be one of those low power, high combo characters. That reflector move is going to annoy some people, still it will be good for beating down people who try to play Saki like Cable.

If you don't know, Udon are the guys who publish the Street Fighter comic as well as English Language versions of CAPCOM art books. They do alot of awesome stuff for CAPCOM, including the SSF2HD Remix graphics. Anyway, I think this might look pretty good. These will probably be the stills before the animated video.

After a successful partnership on XBLA/PSN release Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (breath), Udon Entertainment and Capcom are once again working together, though this time the Street Fighter comic book artists are adding endings to upcoming Wii fighter Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. Despite Udon's pedigree, the announcement post remains overwhelmingly humble, saying, "Everyone at Udon is very proud to have contributed to such an epic piece of video game and anime history." We haven't gotten our hands on any screens of the endings just yet, but we'll be sure to give you a gander as soon as we do.

Ok first of all the second link doesn't work. Second, my friend sells nintendo games for a living and he had got told about tatsunoko vs capcom from his supplier and is able to get a good handful copies of this game to come out as well as sticks. However, he hasn't been told anything about the cards so it may be only be offered in a popular store like Game (if they are going to sell it on the high streets) or it isn't coming to Europe.

I then questioned (on the 13th of Jan) if the cards would also be available in the UK with a pre-order and got the reply the same day saying "@Baboon: I believe it will happen either today or tomorrow...don't worry Capcom Europe will announce theirs soon!"?

I just think its leaving things a bit late to announce any bonus stuff (and even what shop to get it at?) when the games out next week? ...So as usual I'm guessing the UK will lose out on this? :( ...maybe I'm being paranoied but it just seems like some poor communications/marketing going on?

My main gripe really is the whole Game and Gamestation not having this game for pre-order etc in my city stores. :(

America allways gets really good pre-order stuff. They had some really good SF4 stuff when that was on pre-order.

I find that Game tend to not like doing pre-orders in stores for some strange reason. I wanted to pre-order the SF4 box set, but they said do it online as they weren't gonna do it. And sadly in the process missed out on a chun li figure they were giving away in the stores with purchase. In a search sometime ago i found that Play (which had the game on pre-order for months), Game and HMV were doing pre-orders online. I placed an order with Game as they tend to deliver a day early.

But all i can say is at least we are getting the game. I was annoyed when the game was first annouced in Japan, as its such a clique game, it's an anime beat-em up game. I really wanted it and knew that i either hack a Wii or buy an import Wii to play this game. This is going to be the first big game of the year for me. Even if we miss out on cards, figures, posters etc releated to this title, i'm still gonna be really happy that I have this game.

I wasn't being paranoid or scare mongering as I read other people were in the same predicament as me regarding getting the game in-store.

I kinda hoped it was just the people working in my local game & gamestation not having a clue about the release (although in both stores they checked their games list in front of me and couldn't find any reference to the game? with only a couple weeks to its release?).

I could pre-order from play.com or blockbuster etc but as previously stated I've got xmas gift vouchers for gamestation to use so I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they will get copies in.

Its a shame theres no pre-order bonus with the game though? ...I guess if i really want the cards then I'll just have to trawl through ebay sometime. Again thanks for the confirmation on that (I was getting no info on capcom-unity).

Anyway, enough of my negative questions, this game is going to rock!

I already own the original Cross Generation of Heroes game as I imported the game when it was released and it plays superb! ...but with the additional characters and online play Ultimate Allstars is going to add some serious re-playability to this game! :D

I kinda hoped it was just the people working in my local game & gamestation not having a clue about the release (although in both stores they checked their games list in front of me and couldn't find any reference to the game? with only a couple weeks to its release?).

I could pre-order from play.com or blockbuster etc but as previously stated I've got xmas gift vouchers for gamestation to use so I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they will get copies in.

Its a shame theres no pre-order bonus with the game though? ...I guess if i really want the cards then I'll just have to trawl through ebay sometime. Again thanks for the confirmation on that (I was getting no info on capcom-unity).

Anyway, enough of my negative questions, this game is going to rock!

I already own the original Cross Generation of Heroes game as I imported the game when it was released and it plays superb! ...but with the additional characters and online play Ultimate Allstars is going to add some serious re-playability to this game! :D

Thanks for the info. I'm just glad this game is getting a Western release and hopefully will do well at retail so we can get to see a follow on game (maybe also on 360&PS3?). I'll let you know if theres any probs getting the game down here at retail on release day.

I've allways been a big fan of the Vs series and this game brings things bang up to date! My wii's been negleted lately but I'm sure Ultimate Allstars will change that in a couple weeks. :D

If any other people on here get the game maybe we should put up Ultimate Allstars online friends list?

I'd love to get one but I just don't think I've got the money right now (January is allways a tough month for pennies after Xmas). I'll have to make do with my classic controllers for now.

After looking at the video I think I would actualy quite like to get this now. lol :D

I was going to get the game at gamestation as I've got about £40 in vouchers to use (plus I'll probably trade in Bayonetta as I'm bored of that now)... so hopefully I'll be able to pick the game and the arcade stick up at my local store? If I can't then unfortunately I might have to just pick up the game on its own.

My local gamestation used to be quite good but they recently moved to bigger premesis and now they just don't seem to have a clue regarding gaming! :confused:

Your best bet would have to be online cause even on the high street, none of the stores sold sticks for SFIV a part from the second hand shops.

MadCatz online store has them in stock (last I checked). I'm a little low on ze monies to afford this and the game (gotta save for FFXIII, Yakuza 3). And this was the one game that'd make me use my Wii after what is nearly 2 years. Dear God...heck, I'm not even sure it works! Might have died from dust infection *sniff*.

Ok fair enough but Ghost Rider doesn't have the same kind of name recognition as Spiderman or X-man. Saying that you'd have to really be into X-men to know about Marrow. Also, MSH and MVC2 were first released long before the Ghost Rider Movie.

I rang my local gamestation this morning to keep a copy back for me (In the previous weeks they didn't even know what the game was lol)... and they said it was a good job that I rang as they are ONLY GETTING 4 COPIES OF THE GAME IN! ...So I'm guessing the UK release wont be a very big affair condisdering my main store in my city isn't really stocking the game (in any quantity) and putting it on the shelves! :(

I'm glad I'm getting my copy but I'm still concerned by the (apparent) lack of copies to buy at retail (although online stores seem fine)?

Maybe its just that store being completely useless on knowing what quantities to order for a brand new release wii game (two weeks ago they didn't even know the game existed)? ...if so then maybe someone for Capcom (or whoever distributes the games to them) needs to kick there butts! lol

I apologise if you think I'm somehow stiring things up? ...but this game is BIG and I just hope it gets the attention it deserves (especialy in my area)!

I just hope this game get's a bigger fanbase when the game officially release tomorrow... because it takes AAAAAAAAAAAAAGES for me to find an online match.

Minor input lag in one match, but overall, few problems. Can't wait to play you guys. 8D

Well I'm going to try and sneak away from work for 30 minutes and pick the game up tomorrow morning from town. I'll defo add and share wii tvc codes once I boot the game tomorrow night. :D

edit: I just popped into town and I'm now the proud owner of the game! :) I asked them again in the shop and they did say they've only got another 3 copies in though - plus I also walked over to Game and there was no TvC to be seen at all!

Only 5 hours of work left till I can get home and play this now! lol

I'm in bad mood right now. The post has come and my Play.com pre-order wasn't in it. I got an email on Wednesday saying they dispatched it.

What is the point in placing a pre-order with a site that doesn't deliver on the release date?! What's worse is I went to them because a friend pre-ordered another game with them and got it on the release date.

Sorry to hear you ain't got your game yet. Although quite cheap to order from Play.com is based and distributes from Jursey so I normaly expect the game to be a day or two late. :( Fingers crossed yours is in tomorrows post!

I've allways found Game to be the best store to order online from. I've never had a problem with pre-orders and they've even been know to break the street dates for new releases and you sometimes get the games a good few days early.

VERY true!

Although the manual is an easier reference for the special moves then the in-game command list, the way it describes the "advanced" stuff like Mega Crash and Variable Air Raid's is just to hard for it's own good.

Just play the game, and you'll discover them easily. :)

Yami is just ridiculous though, beat the first form, was kinda expecting a second, was completely thrashed then a THIRD form comes out, I nearly tossed the pad out of sheer disbelief....

So far my favourite combo is Viewtiful Joe and Ryu, they work so well together, I also gave PTX-40A a shot, there's something incredibly fun about smashing Gold Lightan about and having to compensate combos due to sheer height.

It's very simple as far as controls go, once you get the hang of it, but it's a very deep system, I shall be playing this for many nights to come. :)

Damn it Capcom (or even Nintendo), it was ur fault for not giving wii owners a proper Resident Evil game (which whould of sold loads on the wii), instead you give us Resident Evil - The Darkside Chronicles (come on do Capcom play and test there own games) with no tv ad support than when a great game comes like Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars it gets limited stock, shops not even acknowledging the games release and only stocking 4 or 5 copies?

People can stop dreaming of a Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars sequel or any DLC for this game, unless Capcom wise up! :stretcher:
