Welcome to Zero Hour people! Everyone has been busy over the Christmas period so We've not actually got any community gaming on but hopefully this will all change now as things go back to normal for the majority of us...
Each Sunday a new game will be selected to be the game of the week which will be in the second post and these will normally be whatever people want to play.
All game obviously have to have some multi-player element and will all have to be on 360. Or we can do community challenges and see who can get highest scores, achievement races, boosting etc etc. There's a seperate thread for the PS3 gaming sessions. Just search for Cortez and he'll be your guide

Haven't touched Lost Planet since buying it, and even then, I grew bored of it after the first stage... though this might make me want to put more time in it.

yeah I had the same problem with the game too, I borrowed my brothers and gave it a go, quit after the second level but since hearing about the soon to be released sequel I thought I should give myself a chance to beat the original, so I bought it and I have to say, once you start getting into it, its pretty good

Also to clarify: This IS the original Lost Planet we're talking about, and not the Colonies edition, right? 'Cause I don't have that one, and not really planning on picking it up.
i only has colonies edition, is that one not compatible online with the original??

okay it's game night people! anyone who can get online for around 7.30ish then please do so, let's make our first community match a good one!
Me and Jarlino played it a couple days ago and it was full of spawn campers so we'll be starting with a few private matches and if anyone else wants to move on to ranked games then thats all gravy
I also experimented with JDK last night, but appearantly the first game and the "colonies" edition don't mix&match.

nah it's okay, i think i can live without the polls. I kinda wanted it to be play any day of the week so it doesnt have to be thursdays. i only picked thursday this week as i knew i was at home. if we can get a big game every night of the week that would be awesome
I need some feedback from people of when is good and not good for them so I can organise a bit better
all nights except tuesdays and thursdays for me can't do them all but i can pick and choose from the rest to suit other people.

well i can do pretty much any weekday evening as I dont seem to have a social life anymore....sucks living so far away from all my old buddies. I go see my girlfriend every other wednesdays so thats probably not my best day.
do you not let your kids play the xbox or are they not that good with their opposible thumbs just yet?
i cant do next weds, as of now the others should be okay by me

were still doing MW2 this week if anyone is up for it....I've not heard a peep from anyone though, I know it's hard to all get online at the same time but let's try and do it at least once!
Anyone got castle crashers and want to play that? I kinda want to get back into it again and beat that boss on insane mode! Also I still have 4 more achievements to get
Can I suggest Gears of War 2? I think that Horde would work really well amongst us. I played L4D2 with a couple of the forum members recently, and despite hating the game I had a lot of fun. I love Coop games rather than Competitive (even if we're on the same team).

yeah we can play horde on Gears 2. its gonna matter if people have all the DLC for it cos I have some achievements to get on that game for all the new (well not new anymore) maps
I have none of the paid DLC (I never played it online after release week), but I'd be willing to buy it if it means me being the odd-one-out. However I think it'd be better to just get a group of us together and see what we've got. I'd love to get involved in one of these Zero Hour Sessions some time.

yeah the only thing is people getting on at the same time. It would be great if it worked but everybody seems to have these things called lifes that keeps them from being online at all times.
im deffinetly up for both castle crashers and Gears 2 horde, i dont have the dlc right now but happy to buy ;)

I think that there are plenty of people up for GoW2 to make it a good session. I'm free pretty much any time, I can't wait to show off my weapons ;)
Castle Crashers sounds alright too, but I think that we should all agree to not use any 'Glitched' characters that are Level 255 (or what ever it is), it really takes the fun out of it when there's one person killing everything and you're sorta just tagging along

Guitar Hero 3 ftw, but after that they all went down hill, GH: Metallica was cool. I'd love to Rock Band in Co-op. I prefer Guitar to Bass (doesn't everyone?), I never sing and don't own a drumkit.

woo! finally got kicked off. Me, JDK, Woodlandbunny and Hickabod got gaming with Castle Crashers, played for about an hour and kicked some polygons. Then we switched over to Horde on Gears 2 and chainsawed some Locust scum
Let's hope this gaming continues! WIN!

Jarlino, there's actually no schedule, it's just get on and play.
Hickabod, next horde game should be friday unless you want to team up with some of the other capcometors
I think that we should put aside this Friday for the four of us (+1) that played Horde last time, it would be unfair for one or two of us to miss out on getting 'Wave 50 Achievement' because someone else decided to join.

well I have all the gears dlc so Im up for it whenever. I tried doing it solo but it doesn't really work...you'll also level up alot playing gears especially on the harder modes which leads to even more achievements! Maybe Ill keep the game as Gears for next week seeing as we had a duel game set up for this session
If anybody wants to play GTA4, Halo 3, MW2 or L4D2 then just lemme know ;) lol, i'm online now, but playing 1 vs 100 :)

EXP is only on multi-player and co-op can be played like that but then it gets a bit boring for whoever is on insane as you generally have to sit there and wait for easy partner to plow though the locust. And yes you do get the achievements

news on the Xbox front, I just read online that L4D2 will be available for silver memebers to play on live from 5pm on friday 15th until 5pm Monday 18th january. So no excuses not to get online and get a scavenger/versus/co-op/survival game going!
