Hmmm i hope so but i havent heard anything about a new dmc game. :(
Capcom have a lot of games under development right now
Resi PSP
Lost Planet 2
Dark Void
Dead Rising 2
Moto GP
SSFIV
Resi 5 gold edition
plus others
But once the latest set of games are out I would expect some sort of announcement.

These were the last mentions of Devil May Cry 5. Albeit, last year. Since then, zilch. Christian's post was reiterated at Captivate.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi (and no doubt some of the DMC team) is working on Devil Kings 3 at the moment so until that game is finished, I wouldn't expect any news.

I hope DMC doesn't go down the RE and SF route. With remakes, endless spinoffs etc.

Like DMC1, none of this 'demon' term rubbish! See? Because saying demon is too generalised and it's called Devil May Cry and I want it a bit.......darker like DMC1 change Reuben Langdon and bring back Drew Coombs. Sorry Reuben he was good for DMC3 but 4? Nah. Just my opinion.
I founded actually DMC4 the best, because it gaved me some sort of ultimate DMC game. It was something like DMC1, DMC2 and DMC3 combined. Something like the coolness of DMC1, the level design from DMC2 and the weaponry from DMC3.

Why do you want to know when DMC5 will be released, are you not satisfied with DMC4? Have you considered the length of time it takes to make a storyline with a great plot then to convert it into animation with better graphics and more weapons? All these actions have to be taken into account which many gamers sometimes fail to remember. To make a good game it takes time but to make a greater game it takes a little longer. So hold tight as patience is always rewarded!
I'm not expecting an announcement of anything to do with DMC for quite a while considering we've just had DMC4 last year and, to be honest, wasn't much of a success. It's still around but ominously on the backburner for now, I find it takes a good few years for each DMC title to crop up anyway.
I think the focus is on newer titles like Lost Planet and Dead Rising, then the likes of DMC, RE, MegaMan et cetera. I do believe we will get a DMC5 eventually, whether or not it will be the last game remains to be seen, but hopefully it will continue for years to come.
