Makes me wonder, did they just scrap this game altogether? Because of SF4?

I think theyve really dropped the ball with this one. Its fallen off a lot of peoples radars in lieu of Street Fighter IV, but I am still interested to see how UDON translates all the enemies into high definition. I was impressed by the beta at least. It had a lot of awesome effects. Id just like to be playing as someone besides Ryu and Ken.

Street Fighter II HD coming very soon

Capcom isnt announcing any hard dates just yet.

Capcom PR has sent out word today that the highly anticipated Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is on its way to XBLA and PSN very soon.

Exactly how soon Capcom wont say, but it does promise that when it says very soon it means very soon.

The game was announced back in April 2007, but artwork problems resulted in its release date being pushed back. However, it now seems likely well be playing the final game this year.

Head over to the Super Street Fighter II HD Remix gallery for a batch of 20 new screens featuring fan favourites Cammy, Zangeif, and Blanka.

To be honest I prefer the graphics on my GBA...
but I won t be able to buy it anyway since it won t be released on Wii (would be kinda pointless without HD, right?)

I really cant wait for this one. Loving the sprites (although they often look like amateur fanart) and with online play, Im sure this gamell burn away months of my free time.

They should bring out more media, though. Loved the screenies, but Im a sucker for some gameplay videos. And just seeing Ryu and Ken duke it out all the time gets kind of old.

Release date is November 27th for US. No idea for Europe though. Chances are we might not get it. But hey, a guy can dream cant he? We never got SFA on PSN did we?

Fighters Generation has the release date stated.

I think that a lot more people are looking forward to this release then SFA, plus the PSN store is really slow at getting things avaliable for Europe.

Yes! Thats my point!? Why cant Capcom Europe grow balls and release this before US for once?

There do exist SF fans outside of US you know.

Is it just me, or is there something about Europe which Capcom dont like?

It sounded to me like Skesis meant that Sony are slow at releasing the EU PSN titles, not Capcom. Id also point out that traditionally games have pretty much always been made for the US and Japanese audience first. There have been rare exceptions but there is more language changes and PAL tweaking that has to be made specially for the European audience.

Im just wondering though if this game is still coming to Xbox Live Arcade?

OK sorry I went crazy there lol. But yeah it should come out th same day and date I think. Ill look it up for ya!

The reasion games DL games come out slower for the PS3 is that companys have to have get the game varified by each regien befor hitting PSN

Microsoft just have one varifying system which cove all terroterys for XBL

how ever sony is in the process of changing it to one verrification proces like live is so we should start seeing these things come quicker

German ...

Sayin: Capcom now announced that SF 2 HD will not be released at the 27th, it will come on 25th. On this date u can get the SF Underground Remix Album ( hip hop ) aswell.

Should be true, im tryng to find a capcom statement for that, but they were right about the last stuff too so id say its correct.

EDIT : http://www.capcom-unity.com/go/network/blog

Its true.

Capcom Statement :

First things first... lets make it official: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix drops for PlayStation Network on November 25, 2008, and on Xbox LIVE Arcade on November 26, 2008. Get hype!

You can read it on the capcom unity link aswell.

Abandon all hope......

Looks like there may still be hope on the 360 front being next week though. If it is to be released in Australia next week that counts as a European conversion generally, though I believe sometimes Australia are an exception to the rule with release dates.

Perhaps we should ask the mod here for help?:)

Street Fighter II HD priced

1200 MS Points on XBLA and $14.99 on PSN.

Capcom has announced that Super Street Fighter II HD Remix is to be priced 1200 MS Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade and $14.99 on PSN.

The Capcon Unity blog also confirmed that we can expect standard international price adjustments for overseas PSN stores although theres still no word on when the game will be released to PS3 gamers outside of North America.

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix will be released on the US PlayStation Store on November 25 and on Xbox LIVE Arcade a day later on November 26.

We better not get this game next month.....because if we do, its just taking the piss.

Otherwise Im gonna have to make a US account just for one game......

Skeksis

While I wouldnt quite say that HD Remix is for everyone, it definitely makes Street Fighter more approachable, but it caters mostly to the hardcore players with almost rabid devotion. You can see this clearly when you notice the Dip Switch options (for altering ridiculously specific rules), read the About the Game sections that describe space control and piano method button inputs and even when you dive into Training mode and have the ability to turn on visible hit boxes. This game was literally designed by a tournament fighter, for tournament fighters. Neat.

... Plus when I said the PSN store is slow at getting content (compared to both their american counterparts and live in general), well there was some truth behind that.

I read its possible by the end of the week or next. See, I wouldve just used my US account but I just dont see it being that far away so I may as well wait for the European release. Besides that, its too much hassle to get a PSN card.

The game was released this morning on Xbox Live for the 360. Ive so far just played one Arcade run through with Ryu. Im impressed by the visuals, the gameplay is the same obviously but anyone expecting much more was going to be disappointed anyway. The remixed soundtrack is good too.

Jarlino

The remixed soundtrack is good too.

Actually, that was the more I was hoping for.
It had me humming the SF theme songs during breaks at school today.

Played a few freeplay online matches, had some fun, but the clunkyness of the xbox controller really makes me wanna throw it through the screen sometimes, especially after a hard loss against a Hadouken-spammer.

In contrast to that, Im thankful that the current players dont instantly pick Akuma.

For those wanting to have a go at me, my XBL tag is Jarlino. ;)

Nabil Mishima

There are glitches with this game apparently. One would be the life bars.
