As 2009 races all to quickly towards its end, i'd like to ask what your standout moments in entertainment this year have been.

Mine have been:

1)watching the enterprise birst from warp and blast the nerada's missiles in star trek XI.
2)firing the orbital laser down onto urroburos in resi 5
3)series three of heroes which just kept getting more dramatic untill it's final shocking moments.

I've had varying degree of wows this year:

When Gold Edition and Alternative edition where announced for Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 getting announced.

Playing games I've waited ages to play, like Batman Arkham Asylum, Left 4 Dead 2, Resident Evil 5.

Playing games online properly for the first time with friends, connecting to LIVE, PSN via DSL for the first time, playing Uncharted 2's Beta with friends, doing a complete run of Borderlands with a good friend of mine, my first ever run of a co-op game.

Playing Resident Evil 5 and Darkside Chronicles at the Capcom offices, as well as meeting Tenebra, Charmed, TZM and JDK there as well as the Capcom staff. Having my Darkside chronicles question not only answered, but posted in video. As well as getting invited to the Xmas party.

Getting every little problem with my life sorted bit by bit, looking back at what I've done to get that far, that was a wow moment.

Mine are:
1. Buying for the first time after few years a console(ps3)
2. The discovery of capcom-europe forums
3. Playing games for the first time in ages behind one TV at my place(we were 7 people there, a lot of fun, playing little big planet, soul calibur 4, marvel vs capcom 2 demo)
4. Playing first time a game on a brand new HD tv(killzone 2 cutscene memorably), i almost had tears
5. Metal gear solid 4 - probably the best singleplayer experience ever

1. Going to Captivate and meeting and hanging out with some of the biggest names in the gaming industry, as well as playing several games months before they were/are released.
2. Heading to the Capcom offices in London for the first time and meeting many folks from here for the first time.
3. Getting employed by Lithium Technologies and working from home helping to manage communities for companies such as Sony.

Game-wise:

1. Playing Resident Evil 5. Despite the disappointment, it was great to finally play it after several years and see how the main arc closes out.
2. Playing Bayonetta for the first time and being blown away by the sheer AWESOMENESS of it.

Uh that's about it really. I guess the most fitting end to this year would be the Christmas party next week.

In my personal life, it's been a rollercoaster of good and bad moments but outside of it, I've had probably the best year of my life, haha.

You left me 4 dead in Left 4 Dead 2! XD But at least we got a garden gnome for it!:D

Edit: My biggest wow moment has to be nothing. I hate my carers for this! Not being there to support me when I needed it most. :(
