Im running Morrowind on my laptop, and the game itself is running perfectly. I couldnt have asked for it to run any better.

But ive played and completed it before...i now just want to mess around with a few cheats and run around like a god.

However, for some reason, I cant access the console within the game. Ive tried pressing the tilde key, and the ` key, to no effect. Ive gone through and pressed every button on the keyboard, and even pressed them whilst holding shift just incase.

Ive done a search on google and found that many people have this problem, but they are often using plugin USB or infrared keyboards. To my knowledge, nobody has figured out how to fix it for a laptop.

Does anybody here have any clues? Or know anybody that could help me?

Edit:

This is the laptop im using by the way, if it helps at all:

This might sound a bit stupid and im sure youve already considered and tried this, but isnt there a way of re-mapping your tilde key to another button?

Thinking about it, I wouldnt be amazed if theres custom software to do that, kind of like what Xpadder can do for controllers. You could try googling around for that.
