Well he is bringing me on a slay ride to eliminate terrorists and probably one or two games followed by a couple pair of socks and aftershave sets. Yup that about sums it up... ahhh Xmas dinner now that's a nice thought haha. Am off topic but can ye remember a guy called James? He used to be on the very 1st forum and caused alot of arguments especially with triple 7. Does anybody know where he is now?

James, possibly JlikeWoot? I am sure he got banned? Don't quote me on it though.
Anyways on topic, I have already received my gift from santa, a brand new macbook. Although I did pay £600 of it myself, santa works on a loan scheme you see.

i tend to buy everything I want making it rather difficult for Santa. I'd like Monster Hunter Tri and Dead Rising 2, I know there not out yet but if Santa is truely magical, he'll make it happen

With my Dad not having a job anymore, and most of the money my Mum earns going to Mortgage and various thousands of other things, Santa has to be incredibly frugal this year.

I'll maybe get 1 game, and that'll be it.

No biggy though, because the food will still be awesome ^_^

Hopefully "Santa" just gives me some cash to spend in the new year & a dash of aftershave , anything else will just be a suprise coz I dont ask/need for much else.

Other than that Im looking forward to the great food & alcohol:D

Hopefully Supernatural Season 4, A new jacket.......maybe one or both of the Mstrkrft albums, and possibly Assassins Creed 2, or Final Fantasy: Dissidia. :D

Apart from that, it'll be the usual of aftershave, lynx bodywash packs etc.

Dinner and seeing family is what I'm most looking forward to....well, with the exception of mega amounts of pudding. :D

I was gonna say "I don't do Christmas", but then I recall I've asked my grandmother for a cooking book, so that's going to be it.

Can we actually discuss Santa on a PG 13 forum, or is that the age where everyone knows the truth?

The truth? What truth?

Christmas goal = put on at least a stone! :)

Ahhh, I had so many arguments with him...mainly the "genes versus acquired skill" argument. I don't have a clue where he is now.

My grandparents ran into a bit of money this year, so I'm hoping for 4 games this year. Pikmin 2, Resi: DC, Tales of Vesperia and L4D2. I'm also buying myself Spririt Tracks and only playing it starting Christmas day. Of course, I won't get all the games, but any 1 of those games would make me extremely happy.

Once December comes, the Christmas season will start :D

santa has his work cut out with me this year. the only three games that even remotly interest me in the chrismas "rush" are tekken 6, resident evil darkside chronicles and zelda spirit tracks. as i have bought the first two on day of release (or before) and have no intention of waiting two weeks for spirit tracks, i guess i may just ask for money towards bayonetta in january.

I´ve send santa my list of games and he should arrive thursday(hopefully) - i will only take the PSN cards, the other boxed games will be unopened till christmas.
The list:
3x 40 euro PSN cards(about 3x 1000 czech crowns)
Demons souls deluxe editon
Naruto: ultimate ninja storm
Uncharted: drakes fortune
God of war collection

Maybe if santa knew my real grades from school, he wouldn´t be so modest :D

Hell yeah! New macbooks all the way! I bought myself a new 13" Macbook Pro earlier this month :) That's all i've wanted in so long! whoop!

Well.. I want a new car.. I want a Volvo C30.. but ima buy myself one of those next year, I highly doubt anybody in my family would buy that for me.. haha!!

As for actual christmas.. I have no ideas :( Kinda like Chaos Chris :) lol, Anything i want, i buy myself.. which does make christmas hard for anyyybody! But i don't mind.. all i want is to see my family, as i only see my aunt, uncle and cousins on christmas day :) That's what it's all aboutt!!

Oh.. and as my brother said.. the food! Hell yes!! My aunt makes the best ever trifle!! :)

I think that I haven't had any proper Christmas presents since I was like 16. It doesn't matter because I always thought that if you want to give/receive something from someone, it should be meaningful, and not because it is has to be done. :p

What I really like though is Christmas cards, and although last year I had to bail out for certain reasons, this year I will absolutely bombard everyone I know with cards. I like drawing my own as well, unless it is for someone a bit more traditional, to make it a bit more personal. ^_^

I also tend to get what I want when it I really want it and it is possible, so there is nothing I could possibly ask for. There was this year my mother tried giving me Mario and Sonic Olympics (because she knows I go insane for anything with Sonic in the title) but I already had it, so had to get a refund. I would like it more if the people close to me had a healthy Christmas and the world would think of those less fortunate, as my dad is quite unwell at the moment, and I would like to think someone will be there as I can't with work/distance/Uni this year. :)

Anyways, to finish off I respect all the different views that everyone has on Christmas. I certainly had my share of Christmas presents when I was really young as my aunts used to bring tons of chocolates and clothes during Christmas get together(which feels like ages ago). I miss crazy family get together actually.... :p

Well, you know I'm getting you something, and I'm sure a few others are. I think Carb is getting you something (I think he mentioned it a little while ago), but yea.

Very very EXTREMELY important question: Do you have a favourite character from anything cartoon/game related? I'd like to do something a bit more personal, as well as buying you something (only fair, seeing as how good youa re to us, and you're a very nice person in general).

Car, car, car.........and it's a Volvo you're going on about. It's not even anything that great! Chevy's and Mustang's all the way. ;)

Auntie Rose's trifle's are awesome though. I think I usually end up having three puddings at christmas, haha. You actually coming with us (your family) this year then? Lol.

Yea, it's nice to receive gift's from people, and I used to be exactly like you. Sonic was my most favourite thing and character in the entire world. It's another reason why working at Sega would be awesome, but a zero hour contract is no good for me, living so far away.

I think what really makes christmas, is seeing your family all together. It's pretty nice, and always pretty good fun. I don't mind what people give me, as it's nice to be given anything. Nobody has to give you presents, but it's just the done thing.

That's for Christmas cards.....I need to do a few (gotta buy them first). I'm guessing I'm putting all of your username's in it, and not your real names. :p

Gotta do a lot really. I think Tubemole, Tenebra, Chaos, you (Charmed - haha, in case you forgot your own handle lol *Diogo gives me a dodgey look*), Carb, JDK, Clayonite, Jarlino and Soop. I probably won't get that many, if any in return, but I don't mind. It's the thought that counts. ;)

See you all very very soon. *Be afraid....be very afraid!" ;)

Captain, thank you ever so much for thinking about me...honestly, guys, don't go mad and get me presents. What I do I do because I can, take it and enjoy it. What I get back - and gives me a big smile and makes me log on the forum at 2am on a Sat night - is you guys becoming friends and looking after each other. I couldn't ask for more. It makes me very, very happy.

The most awesomest present you can give me is that you come to the party in true christmassy spirit and have lots of fun.

I don't know about fav characters, my things are rarely commercial :-S Told you, I love sours :-P

CaptainCortez
29-11-09, 01:15
Bummer! That's not helping too much. I'll try and find some sour sweets at Asda or something tomorrow for you, but hmm, do you like Okami, Viewtiful Joe, or Street Fighter? Lmao.

I need a character. :p

That's for the xmas party, I'm sure we'll all come in true christmas spirit. I might not look christmassy though. :p

2am, haha, and you're up so early. MASSIVE EDIT: I'm being silly. You're not at work tomorrow, as it's a sunday! Duh!

I know you don't do this for us because you expect something in return, but I think it's nice, and what we as part of the community should do.......buy you something now and again out of appreciation, at the very least. :)

I want to write something like "People shouldn't be on at 2 A.M, just go to bed!" .. but I'm a hypocrite, since it's 3 A.M already over here. <_<'

What else can I write to make this post seem semi-useful?

Oh.. I love getting presents. ;D

Well, maybe a bit more than usual :D.
But its because my brother always got more expensive stuff than me so its my turn + i bought a ridiculously expensive parfume for my mum for christmas so i dont feel guilty for getting that much stuff :D

Ccoconut and white chocolate:
A crispy coconut-covered wafer and a delicate pastry cream surrounding a crunchy whole almond.
Delicious :p

It all sounds good, apart from the COCONUT! Haha, I hate Coconuts. It's strange, as I like them from the Shy.

Jarlino
29-11-09, 17:11
Psht, Belgian Chocolate or Bust, Ya?
Why settle for less when you can get the best? ;D

The only problem is transporting them to England without turning into a melty goo of delicious'ness...'Specially since I'm crossing the pond one day in advance. ^_^'

CaptainCortez
29-11-09, 19:02
I wouldn't worry too much about that, as this is England we're talking about. :p

I haven't got a clue what im getting for crimbo, i really hate knowing what im getting, its all about the suprise for me, people always ask me what type of stuff i would like and i always say just get me something that from what u know about me you think i would like, whatever it is i will be chuffed because its the fact that someone cares enough to get me anything at all that really makes me happy ;)

I too will be using forum names for some of you guys cards, mostly because i dont know some of your real names!

@Cortez, agh another muscle car lover! have you ever actually driven one or like me do you just think they look cool? Ill get u a 69 mustang if u get me a 68 charger??

That's the same reason I'm using forum names. :p

That's for the car deal, it's a done deal! We have an accord, haha. My real car love is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS with a 5.7litre V8 engine. :D

Would be awesome, but would cost way too much to insure. :(

That's for driving one....nope, can't even afford driving lessons. I fail at the minute, and I feel somebody should employ me soon, so I can start doing everything I'd like to do.

29-11-09, 20:56
lol im learning at the minute & i've just turned 24 so as long as u learn in the next couple of years your wont of failed as much as me :)

yeah insurance is silly money on classics especially and quite understandably for new drivers, still getting a classic as your first car isnt exactly wise, especially 40 year old american tanks with lots of power and handling akin to that of a bus ;)

CaptainCortez
29-11-09, 21:35
Lmao, yea tha's true. As soon as you put your foot down, you're off. Turning at high speeds could become a problem. :p

I have my brother's old car, which is sitting in the drive, and has been for a year. It's just a 1litre Volkswagon Polo, but the acceleration is surprisingly good, considering how small the car actually is. I don't mind though, as it'll be cost efficient until I can afford a bigger, better car. ;)

I quite like the new Camaro actually. It's the one from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Bumblebee. 2010 edition.

Ah well, it'll hopefully happen one day, and until then, we can only dream!

Oh and by the way, I'm 23 in April, so I'm not far behind you. ;)

JDK
29-11-09, 23:13
yeah i thought u were 22, dont know how i knew that but i did, the new camaro isnt horrible but the only way i'd really want one is if megan fox came with it as a deal sweetener :o

CaptainCortez
29-11-09, 23:32
Haha, Megan Fox.....bleurgh. She's alright, but nothing special.

I quite like Mary Elizabeth-Winstead (Bruce Willis' daughter in Die Hard 4), and Bella from Twilight lmao. They'd have to be the sweeteners for me with any old and awesome muscle car.

Hmm, I've worked out how you knew my age, too. You either read it previously somewhere, or you're secretly stalking me!

You're no secret Santa, if I know what you're doing. :p

I'm after receiving the best gift this Christmas except early and at the expense of my heart lol. My girlfriend is going to college in trinity college in Dublin which is pretty far from Limerick but anyway I hear my doorbell ring and I answer the door. I had a pretty good SF artbook ages ago.
Maybe you could ask for some of the Udon comics, or a collected graphic novel?
There's also a great art book called Intron Depot by Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed etc). Actually I think there's probably 3 now.

Maybe you could go for a surround sound system? Wii points are always good - a little expensive for a stocking filler, but still good!

If you do an international search on ebay for monster hunter and look at the toys and games or collectables sections you will be amazed at the monster hunter merchandise you can get...

...piggie tissue dispensers, piggie banks, t-shirts, a limited edition silver rathalos for over $1,000 US, jewellery, figurines, pillows....

I'm sure you could find other game related merch there too!
