I have a problem with the framerate on Street Fighter IV for PC. I would like to use the fixed framerate but if I try the game speed becomes really too fast and I don't manage to play well. I am forced to use the variable framerate to have a decent speed but many people say that I lag when I play online. My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with 512 MB VRAM. My PC is new and up to date. I would like to know if it is possible to decrease the game speed using the fixed framerate: I want to play the game at its standard speed and not to lag anymore. I tried all the options in the game but with the fixed framerate the game speed on my computer remains really too fast. Maybe I should change some advanced options of my video card, but what? All the other programs work fine. If someone knows how to solve this problem, please help me.

OK... have you tried to enable VSYNC? With 60Hz refresh.

I have tried all the options available in the game: if I set the v-sync on, the refresh rate at 60, the parallel rendering on, the fixed framerate and all the other details at the maximum the game speed remains really too fast and the game becomes unplayable; on the contrary if I set the v-sync off, the refresh rate at 60, the parallel rendering off, the variable framerate and all the other details at the minimum on my pc the game speed is a bit slow but at least the game becomes playable enough. The problem is that many opponents find the matches very slow and say that I lag. I know that the game speed is faster with the fixed framerate, but on my pc it becomes really too fast!!.. Maybe people with the same video card (NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with 512 MB VRAM) may have experienced the same problem and have solved it... Which is the standard speed of this game? How can I do to set it? I don't want to lag but I also cannot play at an excessive speed. Please help me.

Not exactly... The "fixed framerate" doesn't speed up the game, just it make the frame rate less *suscettibile*(I can't find the world) to lag. Since if it is set to "variable" the speed rate is *suscettibile* to lags and it's the same for both players, locked to the worst of two.

The game works right ONLY at 60FPS.
What is your framerate? You can enable it from the option, or downloading FRAPS.

"suscettibile" is the right word... yes... I understood.
Well, the refresh rate of my screen is set at 60: in the game and in the general settings of my pc. Today I had some matches with the fixed framerate and I discovered that I must decrease the screen resolution in the game to decrease the speed of the game. Normally I use a resolution of 1680 x 945 on my pc, but in the game the resolution must be of 1280 x 720 or lower to have a speed which is not excessive: this is what happens on my computer, at least.
Now I must get used to the "new" speed of the game, but I think to have solved my problem. It will be only a matter of time...
Thanks for your suggestions II arrows, and bye.

I've seen reports of problems with the framerate of SF IV, from users of AMD. Is your processor AMD?:chin:

No, I own an Intel processor. I had to decrease the screen resolution in the game to solve my problem. Now everything is OK...

:) Great :)No, it's not great...

What framerate do you have with "high" resolution?

Now I have the fixed framerate, with the refresh rate set at 60; but I must use a screen resolution which is not very high, otherwise the game on my pc becomes unplayable...

I don't use PC for gaming, only PS3. Reason: just insert the disk and press play, no configuration, minimum requirements, compatibility chart, etc. :)

And, I don't have to install 0 day patch. NEVER.
