I don't know if either of them are the best drivers though. I don't know much about F1 though :D

There's bound to be a game in this though!

So them being world champs dont count for much? lol

They're obviously very good, otherwise they wouldn't be formula 1 drivers.
Doesn't it say a lot that Hamilton finished much lower down when he didn't have a very good car?
Vettel I think (Red Bull?) did really well considering, but I think it's more about the car than specifically who drives it. If you'd given most F1 drivers the Brawn car at the start of the season, I reckon they'd have done great too.

Surely this will suck in general for F1? Having 2 of the better drivers on the same team is going to reduce competitiveness. Id much prefer to see them go head to head.

This is going to be awesome, these two are going to tear lumps out of each other!

A straight up competition, both brits in the same car, cant wait!

It means that other racers and teams can establish themselves. Instead of two teams (one with Button and one with Hamilton), it's now one team going for the points, allowing someone else to try and fill that gap.

Hamilton and Button aren't guaranteed champions however, so even having the two together might not cement a championship for McLaren. It's a good team but not unstoppable. Button is unreliable and inconsistent most of the time, whereas Hamilton's performance depends on the quality of his car.

It will be interesting to see what happens next season.

I really hope that it works out - it would be nice if we could have a truly British team to be proud of, and by that I mean a British engine supplier as well.

As long as they don't let their competitiveness become destructive we should be on for an interesting season next year.

I personally think he should have moved from braun. firstly he knows how braun opperates and i think the approach maclaren take to team management will come as a shock to button. secondly i dont think pairing two british world champions together is a good idea. in terms of team orders, one driver is going to have to play second fiddle and i think that will lead to resentment. the rivalry could also be a little too intense and lead to fall outs as it did with alonso when he was with mclaren. and he had less in common with hamilton than button does.
