Hello,
I have recently installed Resident Evil 5, and am experiencing a problem that is puzzling me. The problem is that the game will be running just fine, with a framerate of around 60 fps but after a while (sometimes within a few seconds, other times after several minutes) the framerate will drop to about 1 fps and will stay that way until I exit and restart. Sometimes this even happens while I'm still in the starting menu...when it shouldn't be having problems rendering things at all.
I've tried everything from lowering the resolution, to having the graphics settings at minimum, and also changing the number of jobThreads to 2 in the config.ini file. But I can't seem to find the problem. I'm posting my system info here with the hope that someone a little more savvy could help me pinpoint the problem :)
OS: Win XP 32
Processor: Amd Athlon 64 X2 6000 (clocked at 3.15GHz)
Graphics Card: nvidia 8800 GT
Ram: 2 gigs
Motherboard: Asus M2N-SLI (nForce 560 chipset)
As a sidenote, I can play other games such as Assassin's Creed and Fallout3 on max settings with no problems. :whack:
