This is what i like to see in pre orders proper; exclusive content, i really hope this stuff stays exclusive, i haate it when stuff is advertised as exclusive then you end up being able to buy the content seperately. Sf4 SE for example was a dissapointment to me, while it probably wasn't capcoms fault places like Amazon advertised the extra content as exclusive it was very dissapointing to only receive 5 costumes i could buy straight away for 400 ms points after paying 30 quid exra for the SE.

Sorry it works a bit differently in Europe, things always take a bit longer. For starters we have to have speak to a retailer in every country rather than the US who only have one (very big!) country to deal with. We also have 100's of stores in the UK to deal with on things like this each wanting something cool for their pre orders, we'd prefer to announce all the pre order items in one go
As soon as we have confirmed with the stores and got everything locked down we will anounce it here on the forums...
I mean how would you like to pre order with one store to find out 3 weeks later that you can have your very own Sir Om Nom Nom if you pre ordered elsewhere?!

I hope this game gets so many awards because it deserves it! My favourite aspect of this game among others is the fact i can fine tune my character and rest assured that very few people will look like my character =)

Naturally the PS3 version won't have Dom and Marcus in it...or will it? As far as I know, the Gears of War IP isn't owned by Microsoft so I guess Epic Games have the freedom/right to include their characters in other games on different consoles.

Your correct it won't be, Dom and Marcus are 360 exclusives.

Will there be a similar setup for the PS3 version then or is this strictly a bonus for the 360? Even DLC in the future where you could play as a Killzone 2 or Resistance character would be quite appealing to the PS3 fanbase, especially given the popularity of the recent skins pack for Uncharted 2 (which featured Infamous, Killzone 2 and Resistance characters).
Anywho, I've got my heart set on Wesker anyway, so it's no problem.

Gamestation is part of the Game group so I wonder if they get the same as Game. I hope so I prefer using gamestation over game, due to my local Game staff are seemingly clueless at least my gamestation staff are gamers lol

you might have less choice of gaming shop pretty soon, my friend works at game and has recently been told that some of their branches are closing down as is some of the gamestation stores. All the Games in Debenhams will also be closing as the shops dont seem to be doing so well anymore.
I think part of the reason for this is the price tags on games, online everything is that little bit cheaper other places getting exclusives and the fact that supermarkets seem to under cut everyone else, not that I care, I work in Sainsburys and get discount so I can get new games dirt cheap.

What to Choose! I would usually pre-order through Amazon, but I don't have a PS3. I sometimes go with HMV, and they give you 2 things, but I would also like the multiplayer maps and the figure! :help:

That sounds good! I also checked a few of the retailers to see if they had any details. Asda and GAME/Gamestation are the only places who have added pictures of the free gear. I would like to see the t-shirt designs and the HMV exclusive sleeve if possible.

As I don't want/need more than 1 copy, I've just cancelled my pre-order from Game I've had on since January, if the map are exclusive to game then you can only play with peeps in the UK who buy the same. So kinda wasted for me if the LP online play is anything to go by. If, then maps then become available on XBL or PSN later then it is a no win situation. So out of the pre-order deals I think the Sir On Nom Nom Figure is the way forward for me. Just a shame they isn't a all inclusive box set (Sir On Nom Nom, a T and extra maps) from 1 retailer but I guess that's just business. :/

The Map pack is available day 1 on PSN and XBLA so no shortage of people to play with. Fonix is going to pop up a couple of amazing videos on the site in the next couple of minutes of the maps... they look like a day one purchase for me.

Yeah I got 2 emails from them 1 saying my card was reclined which it wasn't after I contacted them and 1 to say they sent it out, no where on play did they mention said Avatar Code ether just here via the post :(, I would have got it from game with my first one if I would have known I was not getting the avatar gear

T-shirt 4 is orange - and to be honest, I'll probably never wear it. :(
