Anybody else full to the brim with stress?

Im off to University TOMORROW...and im bricking myself.

This is pretty much the first time in my life that im alone.

Everyone i know and truly love will be in Wiltshire, and all of my safety nets will no longer be within reach.

Yay, new adventure! :)
The loved ones will be at the other end of the phone if you need them or want to hear their voices, and will be there when you go back. Think of the great things youll see and experience and the sweet taste of independence. Its all positive, dont get yourself all stressed out for something good, TZM ;)

I think your already very brave to set out all alone on someplace that you problably dont know much. :)

This will be my 2nd year in about 2 weeks but its in London so I still live home with my mother which makes it easier. :P

Best of luck mate and if your uni is in London then at least you definetly have a lot to check out in your free time!

Im at Southampton Solent studying Journalism.

Got into my residence today, am absolutely shattered...and im kind of annoyed as well.

The internet that theyve set up is quite shoddy at best.

Ive lived away from home before. I moved out a fair few months back, then moved back home due to money issues, then moved in with my fiance and i now have to spend 40 weeks away from her...

Fiance? I am confused. Though she was just your girlfriend?

Theres nothing unusual with being engaged. Fiance/fiancee is the word you use for your boyfriend/girlfriend after you propose to get married.

TZM, stop moaning, however shoddy you *have* interweb access, its not like youve been thrown to a remote village (or the 80s). My husband went to uni in Southampton and has very fond memories of those years.

Pull yourself together, you silly thing, and stop moaning for having the opportunity to shape your future into something cool.

University is cool....yeah...I said that. I wasnt someone who liked schools at all (academically I was alright but just hated going, haha) but I can honestly say from just two years in University has given me the chance to...study more! Yay! What? You think I was gonna say something exciting? Please.....ok. Fine. Honestly University enabled me to get to know a lot of new people some of them who are now really close, close, close pals. Now, consider the fact I do not go to bars or clubs and still managed to end up with a posse of like 10 people is a pretty good achievement.

It does benefit staying local since youre more likely (not always due to unfortunate circumstances) to have family to help you out with money, food and clothes. You save so much this way but on the other hand youre getting a whole different experience by moving out too. I myself am glad staying put and going local. Get my mummys cooking daily. Woo!

Journalism is very fun. But it can be troublsome and sorrowful, if you are into history and politics. Im going to an average university, its not in my hometown. I spend 5 hours for transportation. I have to deal with ignorant sheeps, both stuednts and teachers. They look like homo sapiens, but they act/talk/think like ignorant sheeps. Sure, there are some good people around here, but bad folks form the majority.
High school days were the best period of my life, i had a black metal mob, these folks were great, we had everything in common and there was nothing different amongst us. Loneliness is not a bad thing, TZM, specially for a writer/journalst. But its necessary to make some friends, lasting Loneliness can lead to depression, and poor performance thereafter.

Good luck.

I seem to be having trouble accessing the forums, or anything Capcom related, from my Uni at the moment.

Is there any way you could let people on there know? If they start to question anyways.

Im trying to sort it out, but the pages just arent loading.

It might be something to do with Flash apparently, but i have no idea.

Cheers,
TZM

Well, the worst thing that can happen is this:

TZM can never access the forum from uni, the forum update is being done and unfortunately we can t keep our post counts, TZM comes back and notices his

post count is gone again DUMDUMDUUUUM (& he s so close to 1000 posts too...) Only god knows what would be next...

Dont pull yourself down too much. Sure, it may feel scary and all. Not to mention the family and loved ones being so far away from you. But you ARE doing something youre probably really interested in, with people who all went there because they share your major interest.

Trust me, itll be a thousand times as awesome as high school ever could be.

Anyway, goodluck and have fun! Be sure to share your adventures with us~

(Oh, and if anyone speaks to TZM over MSN or whatnot, tell him to delete his cookies and uncheck the remember me box when logging in. Did the trick for my girlfriend and me when we had issues accessing the site.)

I believe Ive already said that there arent any plans to erase posts or threads, everything will be migrated to the new forum.

It sounds like TZM should contact the IT administrators to check what is allowed to be viewed and what not, it might be one of the blacklisted sites for some reason.

Yes, you did, but if I wrote that the scenario would be a lot less dramatic.

I know youve done it for the drama effect, but I also know that some peeps would take your joke as an opportunity to scream and shout ;)

Tzm, how dare you go to a Uni with shoddy internet, we were suppose to play RE5.

Right, im back on...for the moment.

The forum isnt banned (thankfully) im thinking it was just because everybody in the residence was trying to access the net at the same time...

*shrugs*

The internet is running smoothly now...and i know i really shouldnt complain about it, but im a techie...im allowed to complain about things that have no importance to mankind ^_^

Had my first day at the actual Uni today, and everything went fine. Met a few people, at least 1 that will remain a good friend for this year at least.

Sadly, theyve blocked Webcams, so me and my Fiance cant see eachother...though shell be down on Wednesday.

I have met most of the members of my hall, and get along with them on the most part...though due to their ages, theyre mostly into drinking and being free, whilst im into sitting in my room and reading, etc.

But its all going good at the moment.

Ill try my hardest to keep up a regular appearance on here, but obviously as work gets heavier, ill appear less.

PS,

Im also going to be learning Mandarin! YAY! ^_^

PPS,

Me and a few other people are trying to figure out if we can get the 360s online or not. Will keep people posted.
