View Full Version : Capcom at MCM - London Expo 25-26 October
Its official, Capcom will be at MCM this October!
For those not familiar with the event, MCM is probably the best show in the UK for entertainment - comics, manga, anime, merchandise and cosplay. This edition will take place on 25-26 October at the Excel exhibition centre in London. From my enthusiasm youve probably gathered that Im a big fan ;)
Well be taking with us Street Fighter IV - with the release getting closer and closer, its time we let fans get a chance to see the game for themselves in all its awesomeness ;)
Its time to look after the Monster Hunters out there, so well also have a dedicated area for monster hunting with other monster hunters! Bring your PSP and your game to the event and join our hunters in their quests. Fun guaranteed!
I have 10 pairs of tickets (for either day) up for grabs, watch out as I will soon reveal how to get hold of them - but if you are interested in them speak out, its always good to let me know ;)

I cant believe that I missed it last time for being ill and not getting to play Alone in the Dark a bit more early. :)
What games will there be this year to play as I am trying to get a few Ace attorney fans to let me tag along with them as I doubt anyone I know would be interested.

Oh heck yes I am going! SFIV will be my sole reason now. Originally I was going to go just to see whats new from May but now that SFIV is there, oh yeah! A fair few people requested more standard games there instead of the mass amount of anime games. Its not an anime only convention but it may as well have been.
Ill probably opt for the standard tickets though. None of my friends are that keen to go so early. Mind you, Im not that keen to stand in line for 2 hours....
What version of SFIV can we expect? Console or arcade? How many pods/cabinets? Will they be manned with play limit? Need some extra hands to help out? Ill help...mind you, stuff like this done by official people whilst the stalls are manned by other, retail-ish folk (I know a couple faces working on some stalls).
Anyway, exciting stuff!
WHOAAAA, I almost missed this. X_X
Im going, I have my travel tickets and cosplays picked out for some months now...but free tickets would be a great help, since my bank charges for the total amount of Euros Im changing to pounds. <_<
@ Ryu, according to the MCM website, its going to be the six-button arcade cabinet.
No clue as to how many of them there are though.
Players will be able to play their favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile, along with new characters, including Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. Characters and environments are rendered in stylised 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. Six-button controls for the game return, with a host of new special moves and features integrated into the gameplay system. Street Fighter IV brings a brand new fighting game to fans the world over.
So...if the article is not just a summary, it has only the basic characters unlocked. No Vega, Balrog, Sagat, etc...<_<

Id be interested in a standard ticket to get in. :p
Im going, but just wondered, will there be any competitions at the event at your stand? Ive not ever been ebfore, but am going with some friends who know how to get htere, so itll be rad. :D
Gotta buy some white hairspray, and my sword wont be finished in time (not that it matters, as the place doesnt seem to like you taking in huge wooden swords, from what I read), but I will be cosplaying..........only because a few of my mates said I look like a certain character ( www.dante365.deviantart.com , got a pic of me on here, so you decide which, haha). All Ill say is hes in DMC4. Oh and my costume and boots altogether came to about œ200. Will be worth it though, Im sure. ;)
Also, for those of us who dress up like Capcom characters, will we be given anything, like any freebies as an appreciation for dressing up like game characters from your gaming series? Its worth a try.
Will hopefully be good anyway. Trying to get people to come with me to eurogamer as well, but have no idea how to get there.
NEWS JUST IN: Capcom will have a chill area for Monster Hunter players to relax in. Anyone turning up to the show with their PSP and a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is welcome to chill out in our dedicated MHF2 area. If they play a quest with us they will also take home one of our sexy gold-etched black t-shirts. Not real gold
Okay, so its not really ALL that recent, but since it wasnt actually posted anywhere. (unless in the Monster Hunter boards, which I should go take a look through) , I felt like updating.
And since this has turned out to be the main thread for the Londen Expo...
Ill be sure to pass the Capcom Booth on sunday, since Ill be cosplaying Larry Butz again. xD
