Producer Matsukawa-San came to visit us yesterday and spent quite some time going through your questions. As you can imagine, she couldnt possibly answer to all of them but I think youll like the general message shes sending out...tell us what you like, Capcom listens! :)

Boeboe: Will PW3 be released in Europe or not?
Matsukawa-San: It will be out on 3rd October

Boeboe: What do you think about European gamers importing games from the States or Japan? Especially with PW3 being endlessly delayed, breaking the storyline for PW fans that dont import their games.
Matsukawa-San: Im sorry if the storylines have been spoilt. We are doing our best to localise the language to each region so you can play the games exactly how we wanted you to.

Boeboe: Not wanting to ask for any specifics about the releasedate: will perfect proscecutor be released in Europe (almost) simultaniously with America?
Matsukawa-San: I cant really say for now. However, as you may have noticed Capcom is very susceptible to fan voices so if you make enough noise...well hear you!

Boeboe: PW suddenly made the whole very Japanese graphical novel genre popular in the Western world. Can we expect similar games translated to English in the future?
Matsukawa-San: Im absolutely delighted to hear that Phoenix Wright made such a cultural impact! It was a challenging task but it was obviously well worth the effort. However, at the moment I would imagine it would be hard to come up with similar games and the PW series will be the one and only of this calibre.

ironlunch: When might we see new info on the next Ace Attorney game?
Matsukawa-San: I dont know...

ironlunch: Will the next game in the series feature a new defense attorney?
Matsukawa-San: I dont know about this either, but what I can be sure is that popular character are bound to show up again if there was the next game...

ironlunch: Are there any plans for an Ace Attorney game or spin-off to be developed for other systems (like WiiWare)?
Matsukawa-San: Not at all.

ironlunch: Will we ever get to play as Phoenix again?
Matsukawa-San: Maybe, maybe not

ironlunch: Is the upcoming Turnabout Prosecutor game part of a series? Or...will there be a sequel to it?
Matsukawa-San: It is the Ace Attorney series for sure, but will have signicantly different features. We cant say much for the sequel to this, well have to see, dont we.

Takagi-kun: Have you ever considered expanding the Ace Attorney universe and story in other media such as animated series, in a similar fashion to other Capcom games such as Devil May Cry or Viewtiful Joe?
Matsukawa-San: There are several projects currently ongoing/planned. The most prominent currently is the Special Court Orchestra.

Takagi-kun: In Japan, Ace attorney music concerts are quite popular. Do you think it would be possible to have one of these concerts held in the US or Europe in the future if the fan base is numerous enough?
Matsukawa-San: If there are enough people who would like to attend then sure, why not!

Takagi-kun: The first three Ace Attorney games for the Game Boy Advance were Japan-only releases. What made you change your mind and release the DS versions in western markets?
Matsukawa-San: Because the fans wanted them. We have heard from so many people that they wanted to play all of the series.

Takagi-kun: Was there any specific reason to release Apollo Justice before Trials and Tribulations in Europe while in the US it was the other way around?
Matsukawa-San: People wanted to play Apollo Justice with all the new characters more than Trials and Tribulations at that time.

Takagi-kun: What is, in your opinion, the biggest quality of the Ace Attorney games?
Matsukawa-San: I would say the characters and the story...but most weight would be on the characters uniqueness. Obviously the characters and the stories related to them are all connected so the best quality of Ace Attorney is what these elements orchestrate.

Gravy On Toast: Will we see many familiar characters in TP? (I know Edgeworth, and Gumshoe are there, but is there anyone else?)
Matsukawa-San: This is actually soon to be announced. More and more information regarding this will be released in the near future so look out!

Gravy On Toast: Will we ever see Phoenix & Maya again?!
chyiochan: I want phoenix and Maya to be seen again so badly. You built up their friendship, and I think they deserve something more.
Matsukawa-San: Capcom is a company that is influenced by the voices of fans, almost too much so. So, if the fans out there make enough hype and noise about it...you know the drill!

So fans get to influence whatll happen with the series, huh? Time to start a petition to kill off Apollo and Klavier, then. >_>

Fun read, anyway. But too bad that the guy could twist around his answers. And too bad that you didnt do my questions, Tenebra. =P

Id really like a Gyakuten Saiban Meets Orchestra in Europe. I love the music and the closest thing we have is Video Games Live. Id love to hear some of the great music Capcom has composed for the games.

Well, Im glad I could contribute :d

Its funny, seeing alot of my questions up there... I feel like I should have asked more. :p

Ah well... happy to finally see some confirmation on some things. But one thing Im worries about was her wishy-washy answer to the question Will the next game feature a new attorney? I hope she knew I was talking about Gyakuten Saiban 5, but if her answer of I dont know is true... that means the game is MUCH farther than were probably hoping for... If they dont even know if the attorney will be new or a returning character, they most likely dont even have the bare bones of the story worked out! :s

Maybe Im just getting ahead of myself... Ah well... any news is good news! :) Thanks Capcom Europe for allowing us fans to get some questions answered.

I always thought Matsukawa-san was male. My fault for believing in stereotypes then, go Matsukawa!

While I do want to voice my opinion on what I want as loud as I can, I fear that the European community is not big enough to actually make a difference :(. A question I completely forgot to ask (too late now ofc :p) is if she has ever heard of court-records.net and what she thinks of it :)

@ Urya: Yes! Kill off Apollo and Klavier!

And hopefully, Phoenix will come back. Un-hobofied? (Needs more support here... *hint hint*)

Anyways, it made me smile to see my questions actually got answered ^____^

And, the info about the characters in TP will be let out soon? (YAY!)

:)

So agree with you there.

Anyways, Im glad that some of my questions were up there, ^____^

Maybe this means that if we want it.... we can have Phoenix back? Un-hobofied? In TP?

(Needs more support here) :p

Hallo, im a fan from Holland. So please forgive me for my bad english

I realy like the ace attorney games and will be buying Phoenix Wright 3 finaly next week. And I only made this forum account for this silly massage.

Okay now To bizness

Matsukawa-San: Capcom is a company that is influenced by the voices of fans, almost too much so. So, if the fans out there make enough hype and noise about it...you know the drill!

Because Im a fan I will leave some noise to hear.

A) Bring out Turnabout Prosecutor/Perfect Prosecutor. Skip America if you must. I know a lot of Fangirls who would kill just to play it. (sadly im the evidence.)

B) Merchandise. I would realy like to have art/comic books and Concert recordings. An American version is okay. I will buy the manga published by Del Rey soon.

C) Skip America we have the Euro. And we have wallets full of it. Plus a Euro is worth more than a dollar. Think how mush yen you can get by getting games a lot faster in european stores. (I know I sound cheesy)

D) To capcom. I would realy like to see a lot more new Visual novel/text adventure. Ace Attorney may be a one time thing but the DS is like a silly little book with buttons. Maybe you have a nice game that has the same inpact like ace attorney.

Silly request) Make a animated series. I hoped NEWgyakutenNOTgame to be a animation. So please consider it.

Thank you for Reading my noise.

A manga?
Does anyone happen to know if any European distributors (for me that would be French or Dutch, maybe d‚clic, kana or gl‚nat) have licensed this manga for the European market?

I hope to god we dont see PhoenixMaya fanshipping making it into the game.

I wish someone had asked whether we could get any cool merchandise out over here, and half the questions are no comments anyway.
