If theyre counting Shadow of the Colossus wasnt it a stand alone game.

SotC is more of a loose prequel. Dont think it was confirmed or denied. Yes, this link is a fake as mentioned in the first post.

They could still call it Ico 3 if they wanted to. Its ok to do this if Konami did it with MGS3 and Capcom with SFIV. Its all about the progression of the game. I think SotC went by Nico during production anyway. Ico, Nico, Sanco...? Works.

SotC is a a prequel, most certainly. Ueda has even confirmed that in later interviews (at first he tried to pass it off as a spiritual successor, but he later admitted that they were connected, etc).

The third game is one of the only reasons i want a PS3 at the moment...and it will be its release that determines when i buy myself a PS3.

Some people have theorised that Mono and The Queen are one and the same...but i find it hard to believe it.

The Queen is someone that is using Dormins energy to keep herself alive...giving her immortality.

If Mono and The Queen were the same person, that would mean that Mono would have had to have killed Wanda at some point...to use his energy...

The fact that he is reborn with horns shows that the curse that is thrown down in the bloodline is just the leftovers of Dormin.

Dormin is, essentially, dead...but his power remains within Wanda, and is passed down his bloodline into the rest of the world. Which is how Ico and his predeccessors came to be.

It is obvious that it happens and is possible, otherwise The Queen wouldnt be able to use Dormins power from the boys with horns to keep herself alive for so long.

The games havent shown HOW she does it though, so we dont know. It is assumed to be some sort of ritual.

Of course, there is nothing to say that The Queen is/was Mono, but the theory is still there. We do at least know that Wanda is the first boy with horns, and we know that the power within the bloodline is what he Queen uses to keep herself alive (though she swaps bodies every now and then).
