View Full Version : Got robbed
Got robbed yesterday and I cant explain how depressing this is~ I lost my œ1200 laptop, a brand new Sony digital camera, my PSP, games and a Lacoste bag, alongside with some random small stuff such as my phone charger [but not my phone].
My flatmate lost his Wii and 8 games, his laptop, a 6 gig iPod and his lucky 5 pound coin that his dad gave him.
The big kicker is that I got insurance when opening a new bank account a while ago, but it doesnt look like it covers this.
Life truly sucks.

Im glad that at least you are alive!! and you havent lost your loved ones.
Dont be depressed. Be happy, because the guys who stole your stuff are happy and they have new things to enjoy. Tonight, their kids can play mario, Daxter, crash bandicoot etc.. They can take pictures of eachother, they can exprience the joy of playing with wiimote..is that a bad thing? You can buy all of those devices, because you have a job.
EDIT: God jokes removed. Will post them somewhere else.
EDIT2: Dont forget to buy home security systems.
So sorry to hear about that, Clay :( Cheer up, youre not hurt.
This is London, you need a home content insurance, its quite affordable.

Is london a city like detroit?
I had my Mobile stolen when I went down to London a few years back, my home insurance didnt cover it at the time so I had to replace it. I felt quite lucky as a month or two later my cousin was threatend with a knife by a group of people, and one of them slightly cut the back of his ear. It wasnt too deep though and he was alright, just slightly shaken by the experience. Thing was he didnt know untill a little later when someone asked him if he was ok, as he blood dripping down the side of his neck.
Hopefully it all get sorted out Clay. :|
Cheers for that. I think Im just gonna stick around at work for the next few days. At least it gives me something to do.
I know how painful it is to be constantly reminded when bad stuff happens, so I cant really tell you what to do as you have to deal with this in your own way, but you are wanted here, and im sure that everyone here including myself are truly sorry for your losses.

My grandmother died in the past winter, it was very shocking and unexpected. I loved him so much that i did not participate in her funeral. After that incident, i always try to never attach myself to anything, expect those things that are immortal. Anyway, keep yourself busy, thank god, you have a job, which i think you love it, because all artists love their job. So negative toughts will not ruin your joy of creating (artworks, etc).
Damn you caffeine, you ruined my night.
How they can sleep so nicely after they do this anyway, I hope such peoples see nightmares and find the true way oneday, they need to be scared by someone ;)

[...]they need to be scared by someone ;)
Who and how?
These people are (mostly) fearless and suicidal. They firmly believe that they have a right, a right that should be given to them. They think theyre being oppressed by the rich, therefore its justified for them to take their right from the oppressors (the rich). of course, im not saying they are right. They are some lazy-assed, impatient, uneducated wastes of meat. When they deciede to do it, they have tought about the possible consequences; getting shot by the rich (Their target), being betrayed (or even killed) by their partner, jailed for life... Scaring doesnt work.

Mate Im so sorry for you.
Mabye you should open something like a Paypal account and if forum users are generous enough we can donate a small amount of money each and hopefully it will at least be enough to buy some of your stolen stuff. Just a thought. I wouldnt mind actualy.
Im sorry for you as I have been through this myself but if you did not check what your insurance you did have coverd you or not for something like this you have no one to blame but your selves..
This day and age no matter if you live in london or a small town like penistone you need insurance.
But it still sucks and a horrible thing to go through.

Did the Police have anything to say about it? Any chance of getting it back? Or getting anything back?
