View Full Version : Siren Blood Curse - Full game £14.99 on PSN
If you've not bought it yet, now is your chance, it's an excellent game, available in episodes and a full game now in the Special Offers section of PSN, not sure for how long though.
I got it on disc and it is very good so yeah it's a must buy if you like horror.

Awesome game.
Much easier to play and understand than the first 2 games, but still incredibly hard and very scary.
I'm still on the scenario with the little girl, just after she escapes the hospital.
It's insane.

i thought this game was amazing until the last level which is stupid
i thought the ending was diabolically naff
Worst horror I've played...not scary at all. The movie styles make the game too much like a Hollywood horror film, which is never a good thing.
Although I did like the later monster designs, such as those freaks with the big faces and stretching necks, there were those enemy designs that were so generic and boring. Here's looking at the normal humans...and the normal humans with wings.
Not terribly made in general, but I couldn't wait for it to end...

I'm confused now :chin: Good and scary, or bad and not scary?
It never caught my attention when I used to read the OPSM, don't remember why.
I guess it depends on how you feel like going through the game. You can either be really stealthy, which would probably be scarier, or go for my approach and just beat the gits to death...which is not scary.
Problem is that I find stealth in games really boring...which you might not.
Just don't expect a brilliant story or original characters when you go into the game and you won't find a problem there. The music is forgettable, but that's the case with most horrors, I'd say.
As it's only £15, I'd say take a chance. It's not completely terrible...but it's not up there with Resi or Silent Hill.
All just my opinion, of course :o

The major problem with Blood Curse is that it is a remake of the original title.
The original title was very Japanese in its approach to horror, and all the characters were Japanese, etc.
This version, however, swapped most of the characters over to an American TV Crew, so it lost a lot of its originality.
As a part of the series, Blood Curse is very good, but quite sub par when compared to other titles.
However, I'd still put myself forwards and say that it is as good as Silent Hill, and slightly better than Resident Evil.
I brought it on disc a couple of months back, on the recommendation of a friend, I got home, downloaded the trailer off of the Playstation Store, and have been too scared to play it ever since :3
