I have one, but I don't really use it, I believe the people I know have better means to contact me, having hundreds of fools trying to up their "friends" count does not appeal to me.

Guilty as charged, but I don't really like to add people from forums, unless I've been speaking to them for years, enabling me to class them as a proper friend.
I'm not one of those people who add a billion and one people to their facebook, just so they can say "look at how many friends I have".
Nah, I generally have to be friends with someone before I add them, otherwise I feel there's little to no point, so just don't. :/

that's what i think. though there's really nothing you can do if they send a request to you, otherwise it would be really aukward (like my spelling :p)
that's like what me and my ps friends are like, we have one good experience where we work as a team and then the next 6 months you don't say a word to them. So i am cleaning out my ps friends and a few are going bye bye!
edit: i also don't like seeing people in person after talking to them because they're never what you imagined.... not in a bad way but it's just different knowing who they are in person. for instance i could be a super-massive pop sensation yet that will not influence how you read my replies, because you don't know that i am. a little confusing!
I've been using it more and more recently. Originally the idea was to add anyone that I'd end up falling out of contact with since they're at college, but my friends list has really got out of hand. I generally haven't had the chance to add people from forums, but I'm willing to as long as I've gotten to know the person in question.

I use Facebook daily.
I used to have MySpace, then it slowly started to die, and I got invited to facebook.
I hated it at first, but slowly got used to it and realised that it was much easier to use compared to most Social Networking sites.

I don't add everyone, just people I know +/- well.
Sent you a friend request, no message sent, my name is too out of the ordinary (for English persons) for you not recognise it :p

Funny, as that's how I felt at first.
I used to be on facebook, then everyone started to leave, and I didn't really know why, as I preferred Myspace in comparison to Facebook, yet I now prefer Facebook, and my Myspace account has been dead for a very long time.
I agree though. Facebook is very easy to use, and I like how simple the navigation is. ;)
Green - Just click ignore.
I get people from my old high school, sometimes trying to add me. I used to get bullied a lot, everyone in my year, the year below, and the year below that pretty much hated me (minus a few), then I left school and went to college, somehow got confidence and am now Mr.Popular, where as a lot of the people who were nasty to me now have kids and all sorts.
I refuse to talk to people I don't want to, so I don't really feel awkward at all by clicking ignore.
I'm open to meeting everyone in reality. Quite a people person. :)

I know how that feels, I happend to me too but not on Facebook, on a party to celebrate that school is over. It was scary.
I use Facebook, and I hate it. I makes me addict.
I have an account which I very rarely use - I'm online enough for work to be inclined to use social networks for friends  It's also strictly for family and friends (I'm sure you really don't care about my wedding pics), please don't be offended if I don't accept friend requests.

I was always a Bebo kid, since most of my school used it(mainly for the fact you could give 'luv' and customise your skin, etc. Myspace was always do akward for me and I'd only ever use it to add bands. Then everyone slowly grew up and migrated to Facebook where most of my friends spend their life.
