Hey all you people who still haven't unlocked everyone and love to create topics about how your game is glitched because your skills aren't up to the level to beat Seth yet...

Here I am, to ruin your day with this interesting tidbit of info released on Super Street Fighter IV. :D

We're not sure how to break this to you, so we're just going to say it straight up: Super Street Fighter IV (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/super-street-fighter-iv) is going to have an even tougher (read: cheaper) Seth than Street Fighter IV (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/street-fighter-iv). But we've got good news alongside that: You won't be forced to fight him over and over until you unlock that last playable character, as they'll all be unlocked right from the get go!

After Capcom's Seth Killian spoke with Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5385868/capcom-seth-will-be-cheaper-in-super-street-fighter-iv) earlier today regarding the unbelievably cheap final boss (can you tell we're bitter?), we shot an email to him to make sure he hadn't misspoke when he said, "Seth will be even cheaper and more irritating." Killian clarified his statement for us, saying, "[SSFIV producer Yoshinori] Ono himself promised that Seth would be even more challenging ... 'cheaper' and 'more irritating' are premature since the AI isn't finished but he isn't going to be a pushover."

When we wrote back, terrified that we'd never get to play the game's entire cast of characters, he reassured us that, "All characters are unlocked to start." We'll be getting our hands on SSFIV later this week and hopefully we'll get to find out just how much more difficult Seth is becoming.

To those who are above the "Seth is so cheap!" talk.
How hard would you like him to be?
How do you think they'll increase his difficulity? Less use of his specials that leave him open? Fully powered from the first round on?

Discuss! :bouncy:

Yeah I read about this yesterday, he is already pretty good as he is now. I use to find him close on impossible when I started to play but eventually when the game clicked and I got better, he wasn't too hard. If you can handle yourself pretty well online, chances are you can beat Seth.

I wouldn't say they should specifically make just Seth harder, I say they should make easy mode easier, for beginners and for the people that want Seth "even cheaper", give them a really extreme difficulty. Make him go rouge with specials, make him a spammer, make him taunt to annoy you and anything else you can think of that makes him irrating. Personally I am happy with him...but if it is what people want?

My advice to anyone who finds Seth hard would be to practice online, in training mode or try the challenges. Once you have done this, try arcade mode again, when you are in a good state of mind and see if you are ready. There is nothing more frustrating than trying something and losing over and over again.

I bet they made Seth's shoryuken go 3/4 of the screen just like Ken's back in Street fighter II.

Heck he is easier than Gill. Seth I can beat him no problem with about half the Characters without inserting an extra Credit (arcade) while with Gill, whether I'm Ken or Yun, I just can't beat him without doing a certain to kill tactic (jump towards him while mashing forwards then before landing use MP, rinse and repeat).

i agree, seth is too easy to beat in sfIV, and too weak to use in versus!

seth was a royal pain if they stop him teleporting i'll be fine with whatever they bring. Gill was worse....

Just dont want a faster cheaper playble version of seth

They should work on a different direction... Seth shouldn't cheat like now... it could be hard in a different way like with much more life and power...

A game must not be frustrating, a game must give fun. And Seth is not doing it, like many games lately... a cheating A.I. means very stupid game designers. First of all because that shows they can't create good tactics, then because they don't know what a game is, an entertainment media.

id like it if they put a punching bag version of him where you just try to punch him so hard he burst open like a pinata....also they could put a secret mode where you play as Seth and you have to hover up your bedroom with that stupid stomach move before mummy Seth gets home from bingo

Half a screen away, jump kick and sweep. Seth's not so tough originally.

Haha that would be a fun mode to play chaosriotzero, I would really enjoy that actually and there could be a pinata version of Rufus too :p.

I just remembered, they have got to also fix up the AI for Abel. Waay to smart for new people to Street fighter.

He is way to hard in easy and easiest mode!
But you can improve him above hard mode.
