Ive been considering buying this for the Wii, but I cant tell if I would like the gameplay from the vids that Ive seen. I keep getting distracted by the perdy colours :s
They say that the closest game to this on the Wii is Twilight Princess, which I love. All the reviews are also very positive.

So:
Should I or Shouldnt I?

Ive had a wii for a year but only got 8 games for it, id give it a few months and buy something else with it.

But it is fairly cheap.

If u have the money, ye. If u do not own Xbox 360 or PS3, get 360 ^^.

Wii Pro :
- Very cool controlls
- Cool Nintendo games, like Zelda, Mario Series, RE Umbrella Chronicles, RE 4 Wii Edition ( Best RE 4 ever made )
- Awesome downloads, Virtual Console rocks. So many old, great games.
- Price is not high
- MH 3 will be on wii :d

Wii Contra :
- Price of Controllers, 40? for the Mote, 20? for the Nunchuck.... why not both for 40 :dead:
- Lack of Graphic Power

Id say its a well balanced console, everyone will have fun playin Wii, young and old. If you play games like Mario Party, Mario Kart or any other Multiplayer titles with ur friends, u will have a lot of fun. Id say graphics aint everything, Wii graphics aint that bad, but u cant compare Wii with the others.

EDIT: LOL i didnt see the forums name ( Okami ) :d Ye well i didnt buy it yet, but it looks like its better than the PS2 version, controlls r great at games like this, so if u want okami that badly, buy it on Wii.

No rental shops around my place that have it. I could try an online rental store, but if I can find it cheap on the net, then thar be a might-as-well-buy situation.

Is it very similar to TP? Are there dungeons and lots of characters? Is there a deep story? Do I have any more questions? Oh, no I dont.

I ve got it for Wii and apart from some oversensitive controls (for avoiding attacks in a fight, which i don t use, because you can run away from attacks too) it s really good. It took me really long to finish it though (about 50h). Some people might dislike it because of that, but in the end I was disappointed that it didn t go on any more. I think it s even better than Zelda TP (I didn t finish Zelda though, I got kinda bored of this wolf. Strange that I like Okami then...)

Long games are all the better for being so. Better than TP? Although thats opinionated, that be miiiighty temptin. The characters seem more generic; less memorable. Would you say so?

I enjoyed Zelda less (ok, I didn t finish it, but that also says something about it) so in my opinion Okami is better. I also like the setting with all that japanese stuff and all that. Plus Okami actually makes better use of Wii controls with not only fighting, but also the celestial brush.
The characters (at least the human ones) were not really that special as far as the looks are concerned, but I d say they are memorable. Especially the important ones.

edit: sorry it took so long. typing on the wii isnt fast (+i mistype all the time) and when iwas finisher for the first time i also got an error (and i didnt copy my post as this isnt possible with the wii browser)

From what Ive heard, Okami for PS2 just got a greatest hits title on it so I think the price downed a bit. Id suggest buying it for the PS2 instead, provided you have the console and want to get a better price.

Ive never tried Okami for the Wii but have heard some pretty good things about it . One thing is for certain, the graphics do look a lot brighter and better...

Anyway, if you enjoyed the gameplay of Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess, then its worth it to buy the Wii version.

Another thing you should know, in case you don t rent it for whatever reason: The characters sound like Banjo-Kazooie characters. I can t really decribe it any better than that, but you probably noticed anyway if watching some gameplay. Anyway, this could annoy you too if you expected them to actually have a real voice, but since it s similar in Zelda (I think there the characters didn t make any sound while speaking) I don t think you expect something like this.

Awwww, I loved Banjo Kazooie and the voices made the game that much more interesting. Actually, I prefer Animal Crossing/Banjo Kazzoie style voices to the real speech in modern games. Real voice acting is normally extremely boring (except in FFX, for some reason).
Also, the Zelda characters did make sounds as they spoke. Well, Midna did anyway. I cant remember if the other characters did.

Anyway, Ive had a look around and its expensive everywhere. Still. Maybe Ill wait a while, but its been out a while already. Decisions, decisions.
