Yup, Got it for pre-ordering DMC4 and got it on release day.

Funny story about the Kijuju bag I got at the first to play event:
So, it was March 13th and I had Resident Evil 5 pre-ordered, and I went in to collect it with the bag on my shoulder, thought I may as well get a t-shirt and the strategy guide with the game, so I went to the counter and put the stuff on and asked for my pre-order, after the cashier put the stuff through he said "And the bag?", I looked confused, "No, its my bag.", he called his friend over and pointed at my bag and said "Do we sell those?" the other guy said "Nah.", then the guy looked at me and said "Where'd you get it from mate?", I grinned and told him about the first-to-play event..

i've been searching around the forums (i really need to get some sleep) and noticed that the same people are getting most of the goods/freebies/giveaways/prizes....whatever you want to call them. How can other people have a chance to receive anything if all the stuff is given to the same people? those resident evil figurines that where up for grabs, you know the one with the chainsaw guy(executioner) and in the game you can only hear the chainsaw then he appears just before he chops your head off with his massive beer belly. i would of loved to have one of those, i have got the perfect space for it, right next to my mac, in the lab, in front or next to the bottle of ninhydrin. how cool is that? but like I said no else gets the chance.

I wouldn't say that the goodies always go to the same peeps, we've done a massive easter egg promotion just a few weeks ago and lots of people who have never even posted in the forum got prizes. Competitions in the home page are also open to everybody.

As for the forum giveaway sessions - well, it's obvious that those more active in the community will have more chances to spot the sessions :)

Ah, used to win things now and again from the playstation forums, and before that I used to write up reviews for a website which used to be called www.freereserve.co.uk (http://www.freereserve.co.uk) or something, and it was in their gameaday section (they went into liquidation some time ago).

If your review was the best of the day, you'd win something.

So yea, I've reviewed my favourite ps2 games on there, won things from the playstation forums, from the capcom forums, and won a t-shirt from cvg, for a design a gaming t-shirt competition, which I made via photoshop.

In real life, I win nothing, but on the internet, it seems CaptainCortez has reasonably good fortune, haha.

I suppose being named after a conquistador helps and all.

Oh, and cheers man, I also have a platinum for prince of persia, but then that's easy in comparison to Resi 5. :p

Well maybe, but they were cheap. I got them both months back for like £17.99 each.

Farcry's meant to be awesome, and the force unleashed was just because I liked the demo. It's not a triple A title like Devil May Cry, or God of War, but it was still reasonably fun.

Well I played far cry 2 and I would say it was pretty decent, but of course it wasn't the best game in the world and maybe it was a little boring but you can't even compare it to assasin's creed repetetive gameplay and the whole game :rolleyes:

Ouch, I really hope the artwork isn't damaged. Is it just the glass that's broken?

I've had a few problems in the past with broken packages, even with mountains of bubbles wrap and air-bubble-thingie-majigs. They're not very careful when moving them from place to place. :(

That is some bad luck mate but I have a suggestion that might be of help. I was searching for frames to hang my Mario Galaxy signed poster and came across plastic ones. It looks really nice and is not even that expensive. It also has the advantage that it will not break easily like glass. :)

It depends how the item was posted whether or not you can get reinbursment, if its standard parcels im not sure you get anything but if its signed for its £30 and up to £500 if extra insurance was taken out. Still its the sender who has to claim i think, i've never had to bother myself as the royal mail have always been good for me.

I invited my friend (Elias) in London to come along, and we found something highly amusing to do.......which was to whack away the base of a tower on one side, climb in, and then use the jump pack to smash through the tower, and it falls down with you inside of it. Lmao! Then you burst out the top of it, with your head. XD

I also knocked a building down, and then ran up the side of it whilst it was falling, just because I could. :p
