View Full Version : Eum capcom Dante has illness from pirate copys on the pc.
capcom is not happy with the fact that there are so many torrent sites has illegal copys from devil may cry 4 on the pc.
in an interview from capcom with Dante and Nero the two were also not happy and quite mad that the retail copys from there game from the pc edition didnt sell well instead of the console version! :devil: :evil: :) :(

Piraty has a good side... Many people doesnt buy games because they dont now if the game will play good at their PC or if they will like it... but after playing a game if they like it they buy next versions or even the same version, because pirated games use to crash or have problems...
For example, I downloaded DMC3 especial edition because I heared about the game but I didn t see it... I was not sure if I should like it... well, I loved it and now Ive bought DMC4 and I will buy every future DMC game... I get mad about DMC series, but I shoud not know them if I wasnt download that game...
Piraty would be a good publicity too...

If you dont know will you like the game of not, download a free demo. That is also a purpose, to see will the game work on your PC or not. Filefront/Fileplanet/Gamershell/Gamespot/etc. are sites that provides free download of demo games.

Unfortunately, PC pirated games dont have problems or report errors. If they do report problems, they are solved very fast. Virtual drives, cracks, no-cd patches and stuff alike...

There is no good side of piracy. Piracy get people out of their jobs, piracy makes the budget for producing games smaller, piracy is what makes developers and publishers opt for sequels instead of new, innovative games.
Please no piracy talks, I tend to ban people who admit illegally downloading things, whether they are Capcom or not. Piracy is a crime and this is not the place to talk about illegal activities.

the same tenebra! use please a retail original copy of a game. so you support companys to get the hell out of their games.
I think that online achievements can help. The game is Game for Windows, so why the achievements are offline as PS3 version?

I bought today a oringinal copy of DMC 4 in the Koopcentrum Sint Niklaas in Belgium!
I pity pirates.
They will never get to experience the thrill I did when I bought DMC4, lugging the PS3 home, plugging it in and setting it up, opening the case with that weird plastic-y smell, inserting the disc the wrong way, three times, the anticipation as it installs and watching the intro, all the time thinking MONEY WELL SPENT!.
Piracy, alas, is very common, but its very true that it has no good side, developers are deprived of the funds they need to continue making good games, the retailers have to compensate loss of sales by increasing the prices and thus consumers miss out, who then ironically avoid expensive prices by downloading the game, its a terrible circle.
And to say its good because it lets you test games before buying is stupid, thats what Demos are for.
