The Eurogamer Expo is on this month and it looks really interesting.

There will be loads of upcoming (and playable!) games there including Capcom's own; Dark Void, Monster Hunter 3 Tri, Lost Planet 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and even some Street Fighter IV arcade cabinets (free play, I'm guessing).

There'll even be games such as Left 4 Dead 2, Alien vs. Predator, God of War III and Bayonetta.

(Full list of games and details here - http://expo.eurogamer.net/whats-on.php) (http://expo.eurogamer.net/whats-on.php)

October 27-28 in Leeds
October 30-31 in London

So, anyone plan on going?

That's evil, you beat me by doing a thread about this first, lol. I mentioned it to RagingAvatar in a thread he made though.

I really really really hope to be there, but would have to go up on the saturday.

At my gamestation job interview I made the mistake in saying I had no holiday booked, but of course I didn't think of Eurogamer which I have planned to go to for a while, and am very near buying tickets for me and 2 others (they'll pay me back, but still).

I think you can only pay online, but I swear I paid in the place at the one last year (which was the first one I went to).

It was really good, which is why I want to go again so much.

MCM is pretty boring in comparison. The only fun thing at MCM is that there are a few good games playable, and people dress up for fun. The merchandise is too expensive to enjoy all of that there.

Are you goin Jade to the one in London? I will be there for both days taking lots of photos and having a good time. If anyone sees me feel free to come and talk. :)

I am looking forward to seeing and maybe playing with the characters introduced in the Super Street fighter 4 game. Well I have like a whole bunch of games that I want to try. :D

Lol, Charmed, you gonna come on saturday? We all need to queue up and have a huge game of AVP. :p

I have to find Old Billingsgate in London, but the closest station is monument,a nd it's on the thames, so shouldn't be too hard. I will get this day off! :D

Edit - With my lack of observance, you have already answered my question before I even asked it......see you saturday. ;)

Bwahaha *inserts evil smiley*:whip: <-- That'll do

I'll be going to the London one on Saturday, probably trying to get a game of L4D2 or queuing up for a fighting game :p

Mass AvP multiplayer sounds fun! I think I know what a few of you look like, so I'll look out for you :)

I hope tickets are available on the door, I hate buying them online. D:

CaptainCortez

Yea, I swear they were last time. No idea this time though, and that's good about you knowing what a few of us look like, as I have no idea what you look like. :p

Hoping Sin and Chaos can make it, too. Would be good. :)

I'm working there on the Friday but aim to go again on the Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some of the upcoming games (hopefully) not to mention some freebies.

CaptainCortez

Anybody else going?

Tenebra

I shall be there. Not sure about Friday (might be stuck in the office) but definitely on Sat, come and say hi :)

CaptainCortez

Awesome!

I think everyone should get as many free awesome things as they can! Last year I got an 8 bit prince of persia t-shirt haha. I spoke for about an hour with the ubi rep, and he gave me one....course once everybody else saw me have one, they got one, just by taking them, not showing interest in the game, but I got the first one! :D

I'll be there for work on the Saturday, but in a wandering around capacity.

PSP will be stashed in case anyone fancies Monster Hunting!

May have a spare entry pass or two for people depending on how many work folks go..but will have to shout closer to the time :)

Tickets for Halloween at London are being sold relatively fast, so if you're gonna go, get your purchases in quick, as they only have 92 tickets left.

I got mine, so hopefully see you there. Shame you can only buy them online, and not at the door.

CaptainCortez

Who's actually going on saturday and managed to get your tickets, then? ;)

Shame some of you missed out, and unlucky Ryu. :(

If anyone wants to exchange numbers so on the day a few of us can meet up and hang out, I'm good with that.

Ok guys, first of all, I just read that if you go to the Brink developer conference, then you get a Brink t-shirt.

According to the eurogamer website, the Brink conference is at 1.30pm.

There's also a Left 4 Dead 2 one at 3.30pm.....the others we'll miss, as they're in the morning during our zombie walk.

For those who aren't joining with the Zombie walk, The Quantic Dreams - Heavy Rain Conference is on at mid-day. So 12 approximately.

Secondly, if you haven't managed to get a ticket to Eurogamer, apparently when it starts to die down in the afternoon, they're willing to sell more tickets for the late comers, so you'll get your chance then, too.

If it helps, last year Ubisoft had some Prince of Persia t-shirt's, which they were giving away, and in the queue to get in, we were given Shaun White Snowboarding drawstring bags, and I missed it, but in the Call of Duty: World at War section, they were giving away hats and t-shirts.

So yea, hopefully it'll be the same this year, so expect a few freebies. :)

I'm expecting it to be awesome, anyway.

YAY FOR FREE STUFFS!! Could do with a few more games t-shirts ^^

Wasn't aware there was going to be a Left 4 Dead 2 conference, will definitely be visiting that. Gonna give the game demo a play through too. :D

Eeeek! Can't wait for this!

Oooo, I know. I think I'll go to the Left 4 Dead 2 conference as well, sheerly to hear from their mouth, what they've improved.

Might learn a few things. :D

See what I give up for you?

I'm sorry Ten. :(

I'm not too bothered about Heavy Rain, but it might be good. Hoping Ubisoft are giving out some Assassins Creed tee's. :D

CaptainCortez
30-10-09, 20:07
Well, just had a look on the Eurogamer website, and it looks like you get free left 4 dead tee's, as you enter:

http://www.eurogamer.net/view_screenshot.php?filter=NONE&image=assets/articles//a/8/2/3/8/6/0/IMG_6195.jpg.jpg

Plus, there was a guy from Bristol who was at the front of the queue, and he bagged himself a PSPGo! and Uncharted 2, due to turning up at 8am, a whole 3 hours before it opened:

http://www.eurogamer.net/view_screenshot.php?filter=NONE&image=assets/articles//a/8/2/3/8/6/0/IMG_6154.jpg.jpg

They've now decided to let a few more people in, by selling tickets to latecomers from 1pm onwards.....so hopefully they won't run out of free stuff for us, who actually pre-ordered our tickets. :/

We might get different free stuff anyway, as it's the last day of the event.

There were around 2000 people who went yesterday. That's mental.

I can imagine people spending the whole night so they can be first for tomorrow.

I was there fairly quickly within 10 minutes but did not see or was given anything. :)

Also I will be writting lots about the games on my site if any of you are interested.
