storyline of the street fighter games????

i been playing the street fighter games (SF: alpha anthology and Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition) as mates and family have been saying they are good, but i know each charatcer has a story but what is the story over all, is there like a massive plot or is it just people going in to tournament??? please dont throw hate messages i would liek to know :d

The canon goes as follows:

Street Fighter: The very first one that came out which you only play as Ryu until you fight Sagat set in 1987

Street Fighter Alpha 2: Is set one year after SF1. Akuma has killed Gouken promting Ryu to find him and get revenge. This is not a tournament by the way, its just people doing their own thing.

Street Fighter Alpha 3: Set in 1990. Bison has gained power using the psycho drive and wants to rule the world. The SF characters are once again travelling the world with their own agendas in mind. After Ryu (I think) kills Bison, his soul transfers to Rose and Bisons body is destroyed which brings us to......

Super Street Fighter II Turbo: Set in 1993. SSF2T is the canon SF2 Shadaloo have constructed a new body for Bison. It is not stated who won the SF2 tournament, but Akuma supposedly kills Bison.......

Street Fighter IV: Not stated yet, but my guess is that its set in the 90s after SF2.

Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: 1998 A new organization has arisen which is the Illuminati led by Gill. he host the new SF3 tournament to find his newest disciple or something along those lines.

And finally the last SF canon game to date

Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: 1999 Once again people just going around minding their own business. And of course fighting.
