How about a small box at the bottom of the thread that allows a quicker response?
A simple box that has nothing but preview and Post, no coding, buttons or smilies.
Of course this could mean that people would repeatedly post nonsense, but if it was used properly, disscussions could be made easier and alot more contributed.
