Ok well just a few days ago i received a message from two of my friends saying, if i pass this message on to 20 people i will get 20 pounds on the playstation store. fair enough, not that exciting, however there is a second.

the second one goes something in the general topic of "if 500,000 people don't send this message, we will charge you for online play."

should i be scared? probably a hoax?
while i'm on the topic i don't even know how to copy and paste a message so i can't really do anything.

tell me if you got something like that.

 You believe that?

It's just spam/hoax, whatever... I think I'll miss the "MW2 beta", and the "50U$ that Sony was giving for free", I've been receiving a lot of them lately... :trolls:

Seriously, no company would ever ask to start a chain. I've seen it on Facebook, seen it on Hotmail, all sorts of places. Just ignore them ;)

Any messages of an official sort would be delivered in an official manner.

To sign up for PSN, you have to have an e-mail address. You will regularly recieve e-mails from Sony themselves offering you new games, deals, information, etc.

If this were true, you'd get an e-mail directly from them.

This is just the same as with things like Hotmail, where Microsoft/The MSN Team themselves would be the ones to send you the message officially.

I find it absolutely insane that people still fall for chain messages like this. I still, to this day, recieve about 1 chain message a month reporting that MSN will soon start closing multiple accounts, etc. *sighs*

i hate those chains!!
every Christmas there are a lot of chains about MSN messenger: if you send that mail to 15 people the MSN buddy will become blue instead of green and you won't pay in future to use messenger :D terrible, really terrible!

ya, i have seen stupid chain mails before but not on the ps3 so i got a bit worried :o

ya, according to chain mail i've recieved, msn is supposed to close 2 years ago!
i will not be so gullible in the future :spy:

even one of my psn buddies has their comment as "ban chain letters".
guess it's reached just about everyone.

My brother adds random people to his friends list on Xbox Live and the amount of chain messages he gets is stupid.
