Anyone had a chance to play it yet?

I got it over the weekend, and found it pretty interesting. It's really dynamic and quirky, and it's good fun to play. Defo worth testing the demo if you're into hack'n slashers.

I gave it a go. I thought it was really good. The gameplay and fighting was fast and the combos were awesome. :D

I loved the loading screen, where you could practise your combos.

I loved it and very neat idea to have different versions for xbox 360 and PS3.

It is incredible how much detail 2 short sections can have as I keep finding new bits everytime I play. Even for a demo it already has so many different moves and it feels easy to pull off various combinations. As I played MadWorld it feels familiar too but there seems to be more exploration on Bayonetta.

Highlight for wacky story theories!
I am a bit confused about the see through people and why she has a butterfly shadow. It is funny when she spins and butterflies come out of her or after she lands! For some reason it makes me think that she was resurrected as sometimes butterflies are linked to rebirth...
It ends here

The only downsize I can see so far is how far away it is until it is released here. Also It can be a bit hard to feel in control when there is so much going on like in the falling Clock Tower level. :D

I am so buying the soundtrack when it comes out in November too.

Could be the next step in the stylish action sub genre.

The Devil May Cry tint is as clear as day, no doubt thanks to Hideki Kamiya's knowledge and background within the series (creator of the series). Using the sword brings back some fond memories of Dante with Aerial Rave, Million Stab, High Time, etc.

The on-the-fly weapon switching is also a welcome addition as aside from Devil May Cry, no other game offers the same fluidity when stringing combos together. This enables you to kick start some amazing combos, switching in and out of various weapons to give your own flavour.

The more technical aspects from Devil May Cry also return, with jump cancelling and combo breaks enabling you to give your combos more of a technical and time-inducing edge. Absolutely perfect for those of us who like to do more with the game than just hack and slash.

The original additions such as Torture Attacks and Witch Time are also great to use, and focus a lot on timing to initiate.

I must have spent a very long time on the Tutorial, mainly to hone my skills and learn the various combos and create new ones with the sword and guns.

Absolutely fantastic. A step in the right direction for the genre and also gives Capcom an idea of where to take Devil May Cry. This is the type of game that is about thinking outside of the box.

Day one purchase.

Gotta say that I love the demo.

I liked ita lot when I first got it, but after having just played it again and learning more of the moves, it plays really awesome and fluidly. Jump cancelling is pretty easy. Just keep jumping off of your enemy, and you'll never have to touch the floor again (until they've all been defeated at least).

Really good game, and the action is awesome. Just got platinums on each part the first level ranks you on, and a gold against the woman in the church.

Shame I don't have a HDTV, else the demo would play in colour for me.

it is obviously heavily influenced by DMC. i can understand the reasons for this but from the studio that brought us god hand, vietiful joe, okami and madworld, i would have expected something a little more origional. Its great fun and highly detailed but i hope platinum doesn't make a habit of rehashing it's founding members previous titles.

I absolutely loved it, considering importing for ps3 if i can find a place willing too, the framerate on the ps3 wasnt anywhere near as bad as some in teh "press" are claiming, ps3 version was noticebly darker however.
