I own and play it on PS3 and PC since the release.

I can't stand it anymore... i hate SF4 online play!

1. whatever the connection quality bar is for, it doesn't show how good the connection is. It shows something random between nothing and 5 greens.
2. if i'm looking for other players i can't join. It either says 'can't join' or 'already full'. WTF is this search function good for???
3. random latency. 5 green bars, great start, 2nd round -> laaaaaag.

About 3 of 10 online matches are OK. It's a little bit better on PC then on my PS3.

I play other online games on both PC and PS3 and THEY WORK! For god's sake they work without any problems! WoW, Fuel, Little Big Planet, BattleForge to name a few.

Capcom i will NOT buy Super SF4. I will trash my SF4.

End of story, i'm so sick of that SF4 online sh...

Are there any patches planed?
Are there plans to improve this in SSF4?

Now i'm calmed down a little bit

Fix the match-making system. Especially the connection quality bars.
Maybe another search option: only 4 bars and above, 2 bars and above, bring it all.

It's ok if i see the message 'Match is full'.
I guess if someone creates a match, it's send to a central server. Then players can search and this free match will be listed to several players. The first who joins, wins. I guess it's almost impossible to change status of the match for all other players in realtime.

But what about the "can't join"?
Ok i guess again... the player who created the match canceled it.
I don't think that 'suddenly' some network stuff changed?
I mean you should check what type of connection a player have and should compare that if the other player can join. Like: is there firewall, router and stuff like that. Worst case is your server should host the game? I don't know if SF4 uses server-client or p2p. I guess p2p, because... well look at the PC rankings and points player already have :)
Certainly some cheat/hacking going on.

Make language a priority setting not a have-to. What i mean is: if i change language to German and there is no german match available, you still should show me something else. Or make it adjustable. Prefered language, alternative language.

Another suggestion: add adjustable input-latency to practice online play.
I'm not moaning about input latency to compensate network latency. I know you try to balance online play that way (although you could argue about if this is the best solution). The problem is: it's not steady and changes, sometimes for a ridiculous amount.
If someone is good at single player doesn't mean he's good at online play because timing changes. Ok then i should practice more with online play :stretcher: I can't because it's frustrating to find good connections.

What else...
If i played an online match via Champions-Mode -> Quick game -> PLEAASEE bring me back to the Champions-Mode search list or at LEAST to the Champions-Mode menu.

Oh yes make online play cross-platform. Yea i know that's a huge feature. Still it's not impossible as other games already proved it.

I understand your frustration, i played a bit of sf4 today on my ps3 and i won 5 championships and every singe one of them just told me that they didnt close correctly and my points would be lost. That is so uncalled for, i finally hit G1 and im getting robbed for my wins, not just 1, but 20 of them.

Not to mention the time just searching for matches without getting "unable to play" or "match is full". I swear this game gives me headache online :(
So please capcom, take this seriously, its really annoying.

I can't solve it but... the way I play SFIV, I never had that problem after the initial launch trouble.
I just create the room myself, put on the winking smiley and wait for someone to jump into my room.

Also, this was on the xbox360 version, but since I used my pc connection to get Live running, I'm guessing it could be your problem as well.

Do you have an open NAT?
That's usually the thing that gives the "Cannot join" error, because either one of the parties is on a Strict NAT, that only allows other Strict NATS to join.
Of course, if your NAT is open, that means it will accept all kinds, (strict, moderate, Open) and makes your playing experience so much better. ;)
There's a guide on the forums in the "General" section for this.

Thanks Jarlino for the respone.

Of course i tried to create matches by myself. I wait there minimum 5 minutes. I usually watch TV at the same time. My record was 25 minutes.

I found some websites with ports i should open on the firewall. I tried that too. Disabled Windows Firewall completely. I added those ports on my router too. Did not change anything. Maybe it's my ISP i don't know.

I know there are thausands of PC hardware combinations out there and almost the same amount ISPs, still only SF4 makes me :bash:

If you could make SSF4 a little bit less frustrating would be great :)
Right now playing SF4 is like a therapy for my patient and nerves. Anyway a good exercise ;)
