Nice, RE2 is getting a little appreciation, im glad they are using proper CGI instead of live-action, it makes sense that a virtual character be in a digital format rather than some living non-look-alike with heavy make-up, do you guys think they will have the original voices from RE:CVX and RE4?

I totaly agree with that its good too see they do it again like they did with 4D so i hope this is a good sucsess.

Ever since the live action RE movies i have been crying :cry: :cry: :cry: i was not happy with them at all. Paul W.S Anderson totally ruined Resident Evil in making movies , hes the reason why they suck!!!!.

But since the first RE movie i have been prayng for a CGI movie for a longtime and finally my prayers have been answered.

I think its about time Resident Evil and its fan got some respect from this Degeneration movie.

Plus its being made the the people who made RE4 and Devil May Cry4 and directed by i dont know his name but he directed Godzila vs Mothra.

Im certainly looking forward to this one, the CGI quality doesnt look as high as other movies like Advent Children, but I guess it doesnt matter if it has an awesome story.

And looking at the new trailer, Leon has his RE4 voice, w00t.

Talk about exciting totally i am, even better they may not be the same voice actors from the series but they have really pulled it off and even more so the music from the second game, this going to be Resident Evil in history.......

When I saw the mutant in the end of the new Degeneration trailer I thougth Steve immiditly.
Taking CV in consideration where he was transformed into a Lizard Freak maybe this is his final form?

Ofcourse It can be someonelse but that was what my mind picked up first.

Thougth the long white haired dued looked a little bit to much like Morpheus but as he is dead I guess it cant be him or maybe Spencer did not a file said he had long white hair who knows what viruses he used to kept himself young etc.

Speculations of mine only ofcourse.

The fact that the creature at the end has a giant on its shoulder means that it has to be a G-Mutation...as the G-virus is the only virus that creates extra eyes.

And the guy with white hair didnt really look anything like Morpheus...but i am interested in who it might be. It could very well be Spencer...but id be more inclined to believe that he is just a rogue Umbrella agent...someone that got angry over the destruction of Umbrella, and just unleashed what he had...

If one look at this pic Morpheus seems a little like Trailer guy or a mix between him and Dr Marcus.

But as Morpheus is dead I doubt its him on the other hand how long does character stay dead in RE univurse.

I do hope its Spencer though as said it has been told that he has long white hair aswell but I guess Capcom too want to go for that Sephiroth look that many other game titles/companies want to mimic for their villians so it could be a new guy.

Anybody wandering who the little girl is with Claire??? and that weird looking guy, obviously the little girl has got something todo with it and that weird guy too.

And that creature with the one eye.....i dont believe its a G-mutant because the G-virus died with Birkin in RE2, and i dont believe Sherry has anything to do with it either....

But who knows til we see the film.

HUNK retrieved a sample of the G-virus, and Ada retrieved a sample hidden in Sherrys Locket.

Umbrella created the T/G-virus from Dead Aim by using HUNKs G sample.

The G-virus did not die with Birkin.

And i still say that the guy with white hair looks nothing like Morpheus. He has a larger facial structure, and he is more rugged than Morpheus was. Morpheus was the Sephiroth style character, whilst this white haired guy just appears to be a very angry vagabond.

I really hope its Spencer,he probably looked so angry having his whole company laid in ruin maybe trying to escape to other countries and rebuild it but leaving a present at the airport.

Ofocurse it could be a totally new gut but hopes not,there is still so many question about some of the characters that has to get atleast a minor closure and Spencer is one of them the Head of Umbrella,its time for him to show his face soon.

Wesker is being killed of in the degeneration movie by Leon which sucks as I as player would have wanted to kill him off.

Looks like he will be meeting Leon in Degeneration Movie atleast.Looked like Leon battled what looked to be Wesker in the newest Degeneration trailer so maybe he will kill off Wesker?

Nah hopes Wesker turns up in RE5 aswell but as said it has pretty much been confirmed he will.

But on the other hand if Leon really battles Wesker as it seems in the trailer it ties in Leon further into Wesker plot aswell.

Which mostly been reserved to STARS and especially Chris only in the past except Leons mention of Wesker in RE4 but now maybe then it seems he will finally meet Wesker himself?

So the question is who is Capcom gonna let kill of Wesker in the future,Chris or Leon...?
As it seems Leon is becoming more and more of the main hero of the series then the old STARS members etc as he seems to be feat anywhere these days.

Leon is the poster boy for the series at the moment because of RE4...when RE5 comes out, Chris will probably be the new face of resident evil to many fans of the series.

The fact that Leon amy fight Wesker just simply means they are actually tieing together the storylines of all of the characters we have seen.

Leon and Claire always seemed quite seperate to Chris and Jill...but now everything is being put into place.

Yeah I hope Chris get the chance in killing Wesker if now Capcom plans to kill him off anytime soon but with Leon being the new poster boy of Capcom who knows what they do.

But it would feel a bit strange and akward too the whole archenemies thing if Leon where to kill Wesker when Wesker consider Chris his archenemy and vice versa.

When I first saw him I thought it was some completely random pissed off dude who didnt have his best day at the airport, why does he have to be a big villain ._.

Because it is a trailer...trailers are generally filled with bits of information pertaining to the storyline.

They show flashes of events and characters. Since the angry man was not an event, he is deemed to be an important character...minor or major, he will have something to do with the plot.

Same goes with the little girl next to Claire...why is a little girl just sat there? Waving with Claire?

She obviously have some importance...even if it is motivation for Claire to escape much like Sherry was in RE2.

To answer to the same question you asked in Gamefaq.com about what the heck is this Wesker talk all about,if you watching here first.

Check the new Degeneration trailer slow speed 1.21 and further looks like Leon is batteling a guy with headset and looks to have sunglasses similar to Wesker that why I said I think its Wesker.But ofcourse I can mistake Leon for Wesker and its actually Leon vs a Zombie,But ofcourse I can mistaken Leon for Wesker and its actually Leon vs a Zombie.
Take a look at 1.21 and pause my eyes can devcieve me.

Yeah I guess the longhaired guy is yet another new character then too bad so many new characters but so little closure to past characters like where the heck is Spencer and what he is doing etc.

On the other hand new guys is good too if the plan to get rid of Wesker and his plans to revive umbrella and have new future main villians and their possible groups like the Organsation,Agency and Medical company S.

But I hope both RE5 and degeneration movie gives us some closures.

i think it could be a G mutation however it could be william in stage 6?????? any ideas, but i think that would be unlikely. but i heard that it could be steve, MAYBE but it looks more like something from the G-virus area not the T-veronica virus. however IF it is steve it would be a nice ending for him.

As weird as it sounds, the physique of the character, mostly the rear of the character, looks way too feminine.

As pointed out by Zombiemessia Eyes has most likley something with G-virus(as in the past aswell) but the Lizard form of this guy immiditly popped Steves Lizard form in CV in my mind.

About the scene in Degeneration 1.20 etc still thinks it looks he is batteling someone if one play and pause and play and pause etc but yeah as its goes so fast its hard to really see so could be a women I guess.

Will have to wait and see later this year if it now comes out as said.

Problem is, T-Alexia mixed with G would still create an electro-magnetic field wouldnt it? As, fundementally, it is still the same combination as seen in Dead Aim, just with the Alexia strain...

This is probably totally uninteresting for most of you guys, but Ive been studying the art style for this movie, and by looking at the hair and the clothes etc, everything appears less chunky from how the games are. I couldnt put my finger on it at first glance, but I reckon the hi poly game renders looks better than the models used in the movie.
I wonder if the movies outsourced or not.

Intresting i must say i had a little confusion about the facial expresions for example the mouth of the journalist in the beginning of the movie it looks a bit strange imo maybe you can post a screen shot about the subject you where talking about ? it would be intresting too see exactly what you mean And you also must have seen the umbrella clair is holding in the movie its the umbrella logo isnt it?

Yeah, exactly. That defines the whole art style of this movie. Its as if they tried to take a more realistic approach by toning down the silhouette of the characters, but that doesnt necessarally work very well. The renders used in the games are already fairly realistic, anyway, so theres really no reason to de-masculate it. [Its not like its Gears of War]

-My point is that the movie doesnt really present the art style of the game very well, as all the RE games put great focus on dynamic shapes and solid silhouettes, in which the movie lack. Everything appears more skin tight and thinner than the original art style, which leads me to think the project is being outsourced.

He could be there warning people, maybe set off a fire alarm just before the virus hits. Claire might see him running away and then the virus outbreak, talk about wrong place wrong time. Plus remember that Claire and Billy have no recognition of each other. Theres a few possibilities really.

Could be Billy to I guess as some people thinks here but with a namechange as he is after all offically dead thanks to Beccas Files.

EDIT!

Guess Curtis is not Billy with a namechange if he not married and taken his wifes name as Angela also is named Miller.
I guessed they are related a husband/brother.

Maybe it will be like the siblings in Dead Rising somewhat if some of you played that game. but that Angela is working with the good guys from start but still have feeling for her brother/husband or whathever he now is.

Or maybe they just sent her in as she is the only one who can stop Curtis having some sort of relationship with him.
