Hi guys,
Fresh blood at Capcom Europe (mine), Im the new Senior Community Manager for Europe - this means you will get the attention you deserve ;)
Many plans and ideas to get this community buzzing...and your suggestions are also very welcome, so please dont keep your ideas for yourselves!

The old forum didnt have so many glitches, the old forum had all of our old post counts (only a minor or non issue to most...but i had over 9400 posts :P ), the old forum had a larger selection for where to talk about specific games.
Even if they were dead, they were still there...just incase.

Roger to that, thezombiemessia (shall I call you zombie or messia?). Not much I can do about posts but there is a fair bit I can do about other things. As it is, I can certainly sort out forum sections - I think there is quite a bit of rationalising that can be done.
Go ahead with suggestions, Im listening.

It needs to be made obvious to anybody that is joining this forum that Capcom as a whole do not actually check them.
People come on and post hundreds of suggestions, and then get incredibly upset when nobody replies or says Well done, that idea was great, youve just earnt yourself a contract!
I know its in the FAQ section...but very few people read that anyway...
Thats the old days, TZM. Ive actually been taken on board by Capcom to look after the forum and you guys. Things wont happen overnight, not everything will happen for various reasons but rest assured that Capcom is now in the forum, regularly (hey, its the weekend and Im here :s ) and this is the evidence that Capcom cares about their community :p

Obviously there is a presence of some sort...but not in the sense that i could get a job by posting my games ideas here. Or in the sense that my idea alone will actually be taken on board for the next RE title, or DR2, etc...
Unless ofcourse im now wrong...in which case, let the idea making commence!
Also...on a side note...just checking out the capcom release dates thread in All capcom games and it is very hard to read. Its a wall of text.
It all needs to be split up, and possibly done in pretty colours... you know how us forumers are attracted to pretty colours...or shiny things...

I d ask for online battles with Capcom people like in the US forum, but don t have a PS3 or Xbox360, so I couldn t play many Capcom games online anyway...

Hi, I dont really come on here atm, cause its dead! Plus I have other interests.
Anyhow, for when re5 gets released and I suddenly reappear to slag it off or say how great it is, any chance of getting functioning sigs back? (I think theyre locked now) I think it would be great if under the profile settings you could choose your sig text/picture, and then there could be a button that says hide signatures which would mean that people that dont want to see them, dont have to! I know it can be done, because Ive seen it done on other forums. I like signatures, they add a bit more character and colour to the forum.

Im curious to know, does your presence mean things could be changing to how Capcom USA are doing things? By that I mean admins (the company as a whole, really) there are now paying a lot of attention to consumers and really focussing on what we desire. For example, SFIV obviously has a lot of people taking about it. People wanting such and such features. Capcom USA are obviously listening in and even setting up actual polls on which character wed like to see in the console release. In fact, theyre even hard at work on a fresh new arcade stick for the console release of SFIV, taking note that we as consumers dont want shoddy builds but also nothing to break the bank. Basically theyre listening to the community and interacting a whole lot more when compared to say, 3 or 4 years ago.
Stemming from the whole community thing as well, Capcom USA have also been doing some neat things like calling in selected community members for their Captivate 2008 gig and even E3. More recently they just did an underground SF Club in LA. Would Capcom Europes future plans involve events like these?
Yes. This is going to be a medium to longish term project but thats where were heading. As you can appreciate from your own experience there is a lot to be done before I can work on this and get you involved (very involved). I need to sort out a few things that clearly need urgent attention first. Please bear with me while I fix the forum, the website and some other bits and pieces but once thats done well start having real, proper fun - community days, tournaments (both online and live), events, special community only stuff, competitions etc. Give me a few months, we should have some cool stuff happening before the end of the year ;)

Definately. Two reasons for that. First, since Mr. Mitchell unfortunately stopped referring to this place as the most awesome forum ever, from a design point of view, someone had to fill the gap. Now I thought there was a need for a little more finesse, so I opted out of just randomly calling things awesome.
On a sidenote the post I made (quoted above) is semi-sarcastic (> being pedantic generally isnt considered awesome or desirable; the offer to adjust ones behaviour to what others want could be considered awesome (Tenebra didnt really do that: consequences were pointed out)). Personally I do in fact appreciate the ability to apply various levels of precision (> selective pedantry).
Since I dont allow myself to randomly call things awesome, I can not call you awesome, Bondey. After all, I dont even like you. As a matter of fact I dont care about the concept of sucking up, even though it is interesting, as Nemmy could perhaps illustrate. If I like something theres a chance I will express that; if I dont then theres the chance that I will express that as well.
Now unfortunately theres still that gap. If Mr. Mitchell doesnt want to go back to randomly calling things awesome, not immediately, that is, then I suggest to fill it with something else. Maybe you could post (more) nonsense, Bondey?

You need to treat other memebrs of the forums with respect old or new. You know what happens if the forums older member start feeling unwelcome, that means the moderation is making them feeling unwelcome. Not any particular moderator, its just you, there are about 35+ people in my msn list whom I came to know from this Capcom forum half of them left because of you, half got annyoyed from you & half didnt feel welcome at all ,thanks to you ofcourse. Your moderation should be limited to the German version of the forums.
On a sidenote babling about another moderator like that certainly shows that most of the community members & even moderators have a dislikening about you. So dont mess around with the community unless you wanna get messed, this forum needs more members not reducing the older ones too, think about your actions on the forums. I personally think your moderation is as good as dead. Your the only moderator to be criticzed repeatedly.

Im not liking what Im seeing. One thing is making a joke (being new to this place Im still watching the dynamics) but please be warned that I am not very inclined to ignore flaming, not towards members nor moderators - who always seem to be the favourite target, surprise surprise. Funny how Triple Sevens comment, which was obviously a sarcastic joke, had to be turned into a reason for flaming him.
You are warned - and this time Im talking to the community as a whole, hoping that there wont be a next time.

If you have problems feel free to contact me by PM. This is not negotiable. Failing to comply to this rule will result with either a temporary or a permanent ban, which I will issue with absolutely no pleasure whatsoever but this is not a character assassination playground.
For your info, I can see people who re-registered after a ban straight away, I have 7 years experience of this kind of detective work, please dont even try. Bans are not given with a light heart and I get particularly unforgiving when people try these tricks and tend to resort to IP bans - which means you wouldnt be able to even view the forums.

This might be Off-Topic but i just have to say... Why do u flame Triple Seven all the time ? He aint stupid to anyone, he helps where he can, what do you expect ? Hes a Mod, ye, but this doesnt mean hes here 24/7 answering all of ur daydreams. Always when I asked him somethin, he answered, nice and friendly. If he aint nice to you ( as u mean ) , then u werent nice to him, asked a stupid question or whatever u could do wrong to offend him or get him angry in a way. Remember roast Red Squirrel has a nuttier flavor, greys are more of a fruity flavor so white wines are not recommended at least thats what the cookbook says, all i need now is a 4 X 4 to collect some for the cooking test.

For me, the only alternative to Psycho Quails is Erudite Guinea Fowls; delicious with roast potatoes.

For everybodys benefit - if you care, otherwise just skip and move on. I claimed for many years that I own 2 sledgehammers, The Sledgie and the Undersledgie. The Sledgie was in fact given to me by some crazy friends as a graduation present and its nicely decorated with flowers and things, the Undersledgie was sent to me, to the office I was working at the time (imagine the reactions from my then colleagues) by a forum mod when I was temporarely separated from The Sledgie. Peeps in the community I was previously in didnt believe I was a girl and demanded a post with a picture of me, holding The Sledgie and a bottle of Fabreeze. They got it :p
The Sledgie is the instrument used to annihilate obnoxious forumites.

Just popping in to see how its all going, no suprise that Spirit and his queens we turned another thread into an anti 7 one, nice to see some things never change. But its good that Tenebra seems able to control the behavior a bit better, so maybe this forum hasnt lost all hope, and I wont have to read bitching every other post every time I check in.
I think Ill remain in the shadows for the moment, and pop back in when things get interesting.
Good luck with saving this forum, Ill be glad if you can do it, because it used to be a great place with pleanty of interesting regulars (Though i suppose thats out of your control) But a while back it turned into a playhouse of immature bitching and whining (myself included at times in that) and I suppose if the place becomes more interesting then more interesting people will come and stay...thats a chicken and the egg situation...
