Why are some kids so proud of their game machines manufacture, that has never ever done anything for them? This is completely pathetic that someone would embrace a consoles producer to the extend fanatic people embrace religion. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are in the bussines obivously for making money, and they dont care a bit for what fanboys think or how they waste their time engaging in useless discutions, getting more pleasure out of critisizing the other console than actually playing games themselves, being completely empty-headed fanatic kids.

Im only proud of my PC because I paied it all by myself, and put it together on my own, but thats all. I guess people who HAVE to tell everyone that his or hers is better than any other, or people who own a PC thats too good for todays usage (Like the quadcore processors with whatever, 2x1024MB SLI graphics card and at least 8GB of ram... I mean hey, WHO does REALLY need a PC like that?
Sure, they manage to make some people envy them, because theres always someone whod like to have something like that but doesnt have the money. Buuut in the end no one would need a PC like that. Maybe in five or ten years. xD But then theres new technology out there and they can throw away their machine.
And being proud of a console? Is definitely dumb. *shakes head* Some people have a poor life with no friends and a lack of attention, and they THINK they might get it elsewhere if they show the world how great they or their machines are, thats all. ^^
Same with people who do not have any manners at all on the internet, they only try to compensate something they cant get or do in their real lives, but they doesnt notice how stupid they are. *shrugs*
I think its being part of their own little group more than anything else, that, and because they focus their money on one brand, they think it will do well enough to release more stuff.

Thats a pretty good analysis. One addition, they (desperately) want it to/need it to do well enough.

Yes but they not only want it do well enought but also want the the rival one to sink, and will never admit any good aspects the console they dont own may have, even if they are right in front of their faces. Its normal to value what you have but some seem to embrace the destruction of their oponent console as their life motto....

Its crap why would someone love too drive a mercedes or why is some one fan of a footballclub ...without fanboyism there would be no competition .
In time if a specific product or anykind has a hard time too be the best fans of the product are try too support it for example an employe of capcom would always stand behind theyre company even in bad times fans of capcom would also backup theyre favorite brand afcourse it must be proportional you can exeed in fanboyism and desperatly try too avoid the reality .
For me as example a sony fan its bit hard too see other platforms are running up but its something i have too accept maybe you have too be more openminded

Your comparision isnt sensible, everyone has ones favorites and if you ask them the reasons theyd give you several ones... fair enough. . If you like certain product or company its okay for you to support it, this is a very common behaviour actually, we all have hobbies we all have favorites. The problem is when fanatism comes, if you take a look at some forums, you will lines and lines of insulting between PS3 and Xbox 360 fanboys, one side saying gears of war 2 is crap and the other saying the same about for example, Kill Zone 2. That all even without having played the game. In such situations, which are far common, its very clear that the discussion is only for the sake of ... of nothing! Most likely a person who enjoyed Gears of Wars, Halo 3 etc will also enjoy Kill Zone 2, Resistance 2 etc... I have a PS3 and my bf has got a Xbox 360 and I think its actually cool hell be able to play FFXIII, if you ask me I prefer my PS3 and I could give you reasons for that, but I respect who chooses the Xbox 360 and recognise its value and also admit I like to play its exclusivities, it just comes down to personal choices and living with the differences, mutual respect...
