Hi there,
I have a problem with my new RE5. As soon as I start up the game and login to Windows LIVE, the game and the sound begins to stutter like hell which makes it unplayable.
I installed the latest patch.
What could be the problem?
cheers
BTW, my system specs:
AMD 64 X2 6000+
2GB DDR2 RAM
Geforce N260GTX
Audigy Sound Blaster
Windows XP 32 bit SP3

Temporary solution:
Disable one core for the Resident evil 5 application in your task manager.
Start Resident Evil's startprogram -> open Task Manager -> Right click on
"launcher.exe" process -> Set Affinity -> uncheck CPU1 -> Go back to the Startprogram and click on "Play with DirectX9" or "Play with DirectX10".
The game should run fine now. Let's wait for a patch.:horray:
Good that you found a solution. Will Capcom listen this for further question?

I sent them three emails with the problem and the solution and called them up once.
I hope so, otherwise I will be pissed.

UPDATE:
I got an email from Capcom today, all guys with AMD X2 CPUs and Windows XP experience the huge FPS drop should install the AMD CPU Optimizer with which the game will run fine now.
