Ta-dan!
I've modded an old Xbox 360 controller to play with Street Fighter IV on PC.
This is the result.
(The cable that comes out it's the microphone kit)

Last picture is pretty useless... But there is an explanation: I put the stick on the case when I don't use it, so I need for a foothold smaller then usual. The four in the corners are only to cover the screws... no other use.

Aluminium bars support the plane, since it flexed where I rest the hand I put an extra bar to reinforce it. Now it's perfect

Artwork, it was been modified to exactly match the stick. I've spent much time to search it, and the only one that shows the entire crew after Thriller Bark is this... without the "standard" clothes.
I've searched also for something that features gear second pose... but those are much worse.

It's hard to understand something from these, but they document the hard work behind the guide button and the ring of light...
An hard work, I think it's the first homemade fight stick that keeps it.

Is that a left-handed fightstick?

Anyway, absolutely amazing job! It's looks lovely! I'm really impressed you managed to make it out of a standard 360 controller. :D

A reversed stick?! Feels any better than the traditional one?

Oh and where did you get the case for the stick? Or did you make it yourself?

Is that a left-handed fightstick? :blink:No, I'm right handed... That's why I have the most important part on the right, where I have more sensitivity.

I built the case, it's wood.

I always thought that. I am left handed and the sticks seems perfect for me and I always thought the other way around would be better for a right hander. Using your strongest hand on the stick.

Surely it would still be left-handed. It's the opposite of the conventional right-hand. It's like left-handed guitars. On a right-handed guitar your left hand does the most work. So with a left-handed guitar, the right hand does more work.

Left and Right handedness plays no real part in anything that uses two hands, Right-handedness is always simply the conventional one.

I write and draw with my left hand, but I do everything else 'right-handed'.

Just wondering, did you use a cheap third party controller as the PCB/wire or an official or just got it separately?

An official Xbox 360 controller.
I bought it on 5 december 2005, :D the shell started to make strange noises, the left analog stick and triggers were completely slick.

I would buy a new wired one when I need it, this will not happen before next year.

same with me but I think it is because we live in a mainly right handed world so we get used to using things aimed a right handers. I cannot use left handed scissors as I am used to right handed ones. My girlfriend bought a left handed can opener by mistake and had real problems using it where as I found it so much easier than usual it was ages until we worked out why.

I struggle to use right-handed can openers. :p
With scissors, I'm more or less ambidextrous.

With scissors, it depends by the direction... I always hold the palm inward. :D
