Hi all.
First of all, I have the Hori stick on PS3; is not that bad, but sometimes you can't pull the ultra/super because it'll miss some positions...
Apart this is ok.
What I'm really mad at is when I play online, excluding lag cheaters, people that leaves when they're about to lose, I manage to defeat top G2 people even if I'm onlt 2.7k ranked.
A lot of games finish lost though, with the opponent with 1% of energy left.
And I get mad, because sometimes they manage to execute two big moves without being interrupted.
I'm not talking about combos, but for example, I just lost a game against a 10k rated Ken because he managed to pull 2 high sho-ruy-ken one after other. I blocked first, was going to catch/throw him, but then he managed to do another.
Is this ok?
I mean, when you usually block a high/mid/low sho-ryu-ken you should have your throw/hit/whatever you prefer guaranteed.
But apparently no.
Now, if this is not ok, why does that happen?
My connection was absolutely fine, not much lag.
Another thing that happens is that somtime I properly block but my character does not, or better it happens 0.5 secs later, leaving me wide open to get beaten up.
Now, all those things don't happen when I play vs the CPU*; when CPU misses a sho-ryu-ken, I catch/throw. Even talking about the final boss.
When I block/parry against the CPU, I do.
Online, a lot of times I find myself keeping the stick in the proper block direction while my character gets beaten up, an I am just blocking without pushing any other button....
Is this just caused by the lag?
If yes, that means that the packet from the opponent must have higher priority than my local actions...but this is rubbish because 0.5 secs of wide open is too much against people who can pull good combos...
Anyway, I'm really pissed off by these 2 things (unstoppable sequence and late block).
Am I the only one experiencing this?
Cheers,
* Or a local opponent on the same PS3
