Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Capcom bringing some PSone classics to our store?
Games like Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 & Dino Crisis. Games like that :D
Maybe a Capcom mod knows more?
Just everyone has them bar us now:( US, Jap, & HK PSN stores that is.
Will we ever get them as well? Are Capcom doing anything to bring them to our store? Not asking for release dates anything. I'm just very interested if we're getting them at all. And if so, is it looking good we'll eventually get them?

From what I remember, there are problems with getting the licenses to release it in Europe.
Since the early titles were published by Virgin Interactive, etc.
I'm pretty sure Capcom are working their hardest to get it all out for Europe, but it's taking longer than expected.

They do exist. But they don't exist as Virgin Interactive. So whoever currently own VI, own the publishing rights.
The Company's assets were acquired in 1999 by the French publisher Titus Software -- its name was changed to Avalon Interactive on July 1, 2003.

am sure they will come it is just a matter of time. I took well over a year to get them on the USA PSN after the JAP PSN

I would. But I hate buying stuff on my US account. Like having all my stuff on my proper one.
That and having to swap between PSN accounts on your PSP is a pain, when you want to play games linked to the other account.

On the American Capcom homepage, a remake of RE1 is going to be made for Wii, with same graphics as GC, with new puzzels.
I think you guys have answered the question without the need for official Capcom input!
just to confirm there is a legal minefield we have to navigate through in order to get the game up on PSN in Europe. It will happen eventually, but only when we're sure everything has been sorted out which could take a little time. Sorry i can't give you a better answer than that.

This is a mostly irrelevant post...but since it needs correcting, I won't delete it.
The REmake appearing on Wii is actually just a port of the REmake for the GameCube, so it isn't a remake of RE1 being made for the Wii.

or you could just buy it on a PSone disc seeing as they work in a PS3 anyways....

@ Chaosriotzero. I would but i want to play them on the PSP. HDTVs aren't too good for PS one classics. That and Resi 1 Directors Cut is going for over £20 on ebay >.<
