Breath of Fire 3 Teammember problem

I have been playing for about 9 hours and I'm in "Urkan Taka" or something like that.
There, you have to push back even with "Garr" the stone.
The only Problem is that I can not choose him into the team.

Hmm. Sorry, what platform are you playing it on?

I remember you will have Garr in team after the fighting tounament, you going out of the town (where the tournament was), and to the bridge, then an scene will hapen, and you fight a boss, afrer that you can have garr im team, if you are before the scene, you cannot have him!! i see you have only Ryu, Nina and Momo in team, you shoud have Peco also before the tournamet!!

Yeah, the reason I'm asking is because this seems like an emulator screenshot too me. -And as you all know, it's piracy and hacks; something we don't tolerate in these forums.
