Judging by the add it looks like its going to be a great film and Chun-Li is FFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE EE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite the entire topic giving me just a "wait..what?" feeling, I'll just move it to the Capcom fighters section, since this isn't specifically about SFIV.
any one know when it's out? i want to see if it's one of those so bad it's good films like the last SF film. could be a giggle

Ah right, not a movie I have been looking out for to be honest, so this information is new to me, thanks.

I've just seen the movie. For a Street Fighter movie you'll probably be quite bitter, for a general movie it's not that bad really.
It follows the general plot of Chun-Li tracking down Bison to seek her father fairly well. The characterization of all the SF cast minus Chun-Li is fairly questionable and some of the plot lines will irritate you. Oh and the effects are cheesey.
I'm a bit irritated about the presence of Gen being portrayed as a martial arts master/crime fighter in his 30's. Gen is meant to be an old master who faced the most fearsome of opponents (For example Akuma) and he's also an ex assassin as I recall. Robin Shou plays him which is also complicated to me since I'm also an old MK fan and as the star for Liu Kang (Which is a role he was well suited for) it's weird to see him in an SF film to me.
The ending hints at the possiblility of a sequel with Ryu and it may actually go in the right direction of SF2 and Alpha 3's Canon plotline if we're lucky. If it happens it will be interesting.

is it like starship troopers? an under-rated yet surprisingly awesome film??
just seen it! it's like Starship troopers 3! cheesy and laughable.
I picked up a Blu-Ray copy in the UK about a month ago, apparently the US Theatrical Edition is only available in the UK, with very few extras. I've ordered an American copy which has both the Theatrical and Uncut versions of the film (the later having 40 Seconds more violence) and a whole load more extras.
Disappointed that the UK gets a singled disc with less content than the Region 1 version, both DVDs would have 4.7GB, why would the UK version have more empty space? Also; the R1 Version comes packaged with 'Round 1: FIGHT' AND a digital copy of the movie. GAH
