,this is not a post meant to critizise Monumental, but more meant as an inspiration based on
some of my observations in general.A couple things I wantet to talk about is throttle
responce, and griplevels. Both effect the general feel of the game and at times intertwine.I
never really liked the throttle responce of past bikegames on the 360.The doubletap
powerslide on MoToGP from Climax was just rediculus, but I dident care so much about the SBK
throttle responce either. The reason being the game dident have much feel in general, and imo
it dident give you very good feedback as to what was going on.What I like is a throttle
responce gives you a much better "feel",and the way to achive this imo whould be to add the
sensation of weight to the front/rear,so that when comming out of corners, and going very
hard on the gas,the front start to come up,but by having the sensation of some weight to the
front you could sort of balence it on the gas.Ofcourse how much, and how your front comes up
whould among other things depend on the speed you carry. If the flow is good, and the speed is
high your your bike doesent tend to wheelie as much as if the speed is low, where you whould
struggle more keeping the front wheel on the ground, and you whouldent be able to give as
much gas.Another thing that whould influence this whould ofcourse be the setup of the
bike(gears,sus-settings,load,etc.)Another thing I wantet to talk about grip, and
griplevels.Im sure you all remember Namco MoToGP,and how those bikes where sliding all
over.I see a little bit of a tendency of that in many other much later bikegames.Im sure I
remember someone describing SBK08/09 sim,as racing on ice,and im sure I was sliding around
quit a lot myselfLoL.IMO bikegames need to be a little bit forgiving when it comes to the
grip, and it should be more of an on/off exp.You either have it or you dont.If you dont your
pretty much screewed,a little bit depending on how unforgiving your setup is,but the very
least you are going to have to deal with the woobles you get when the tire suddenly grips
back on the road.Idealy you should have both some sound to tell you that you are close to
the limit, but also some controllerfeedback.P.S.This is not meant to critizise, its just me trying to get a few things out of the system
