1) Is this a free roam game, or do you have to go through levels?
The game is level based, although with Will’s ability to fly we have constructed very massive levels with a lot of space to fly around and take on our objectives. As a third person shooter it’s a pretty unique play experience

Does this game have a long storyline that will have heaps of great gameplay and replayability?
The game features a pretty hefty plotline that guides the player through entering the Void, meeting Tesla, joining up with the human resistance to the watchers, and trying to get back home. That being said, most of our focus is on action and not hour long cutscenes, so things move at a decent pace. As far as replayability, there are a number of weapons to use and upgrade (checking out each weapons upgrade power requires a couple of playthroughs to get all of them upgrade to Level 3 (max), we also bury journals, and our version of currency (tech points) all over to encourage exploration. For the bold player (i.e, the Capcom fan) playing the game on hardcore mode is a pretty large challenge (I’m trying to do it this week, and its making me sweat).

Why did you decide to equip the main character with a jet pack?
Funny enough, it wasn’t the first decision, but after wanting to make a third person shooter that provided new perspectives and challenges to the genre, and knowing that based on Airtight history with flight combat (Crimson Skies) we couldn’t think of anything cooler than having a jetpack strapped to the player character. Probably the smartest decision of everyones’ life :)

Many games these days give players a choice as to how they can approach their objectives, including moral ones. Will Dark Void incorporate choice in how players approach their objectives, and if so, will any of these choices impact the story?
We are big fans of the advancements in video game narrative that we have seen in recent years. For us though, Dark Void was a game about action, combat, and seat of the pants Dare Devilry. So we focused on crafting a story that set a very cool mood (alien conspiracy, Bermuda triangle, Tesla) that helped set us apart from everything else, and then put our heads 100% against making the best jetpack action game ever.

Will other historical figures guide and assist you through the title in a similar manner to said person, Tesla. Or even, will you take on any such people that got lost, along with the regular enemies?
I hate to do this answer, but there are other historical figures that come into play in our story (as well as historical events), but I don’t want to spoil the plot. So there is my nonanswer answer ;)

Will there be an online multiplayer campaign mode?
Not at all. Multiplayer should never just be tacked on to something to have it. We knew we had a lot of challenges ahead of us working on the brand new mix of gameplay experiences that Dark Void features, not to mention making a whole new IP, Airtight making its first game as a company (although the crew is all very experienced). We did not want to make the game suffer, worst case we concerned about impacting the single player experience, and potentially not having time to make sure the multiplayer experience could stand on its own (games like Halo and CoD Modern Combat have set a new bar on what’s required to have something deep and fun beyond simple deathmatch). So we made the call to focus on getting the new IP off the ground with an awesome single player experience. If we have the chance to make a sequel, we’ll have the discussions all over again on what to focus on .

Can you take over the gun turrets [seen in the GC build] too?
You can take over gun turrets on the ground, as well as on the transport ships, even the human escape craft Tesla builds..(ooo..spoiler!).

Is there a limit on how high you can fly?
There is, although its plenty high enough away from the action that it shouldn’t feel like a huge limitation

Will we see a Tesla gun?
Two in fact…..

Is there a conspiracy theory kind of story based on the Telsa story within the game?
There is a conspiracy theory aspect to our storyline, that Tesla plays a part in, but its not 100% focused on him.

What does it feel like to be a Legend among men, I mean you are a Pioneer for this Game Genre, no one else has done it before?
I think we are all grateful for having had the chance to work on a pretty original game, with a brand new universe, and cool new lead character. Its not often in games that you get do that, and so we are very very thankful. With the game almost finished, we’re already talking about where we can go from here…

new instalment, linear plot, historical figures, aliens, Capcom's difficult mode, focus on single player....wow, i didn't expect Dark Void could be that interesting to me!!

"I hate to do this answer, but there are other historical figures that come into play in our story (as well as historical events)"

Very exciting news. Really gives the plot and universe a lot more depth, giving it a mysterious feel. Would be interesting if these other historical figures provide you with assistance/weapons/gadgets.

Thanks Morgan and Tenebra. :]
