View Full Version : Wont Accelerate
Just picked up a copy of this game on special from a local store, got back, installed it, but when i run the game, my bike and the computer bikes accelerate to around 17km/h then sit there......... they do gain speed, about 1km/h over every 100m or so, and at the end of a lap i was almost doing 60!
ive tried remapping the game pad, tried playing on keyboard, but nothing! found a couple of threads with the same problem on the net, but no answers! i need answers :P please if anyone could help it would be good.

Are you on automatic transmission or manual? If you are on manual, go to automatic.
automatic, tried manual and remapped the keys just incase, the bike does go up through the gears and gets to around 40ish a bit quicker, but then doesnt go any faster than that, but thing is, even the computer controlled bikes are going at the same speed, during the manual test, i passed them and stayed just infront, but they never picked up speed past 20, its not like there taking off into the distance or anything, its th emost intense slow speed racing ever :facepalm:

Have you tried reinstalling it? I know reinstalling is a pain, but see what happens.
still no joy after a reinstall :(

Weird... Is it your FPS? Also, what are you using to drive? If you arent using the arrow keys, try using the arrow keys first. I use the arrow keys, they are fine for me, I win online simulation.
I'm having the same problem... The bikes are not accelerating... And so do other bikes.... Somebody pls help....
(Btw, I way too back in this.... Just starting to play motogp08 when 09, 10 and 11 are out... I don't have a PS... So a 08 is the best I can play on a PC )
