Ya know I was wondering if Capcom will ever reveal how Nero got his arm and how he became an orphan. Yeah I know Nero isn't the most popular character in the series but still it would be really interesting too know about Nero's past. What does everyone else think?

The arm is already explained in the instruction booklet and Mission 7.

Well, this could just be me, but I personally didn't feel that anything about Nero was exlained well enough.

He was an orphan, yea........he got his arm supposedly through I think it was the rituals the order did or something (can't recall, and don't want to try to explain harder due to spoilers, in case some people still haven't played this), but really it didn't explain anything about his origins, his relation to anyone, why he has white hair like Dante and Vergil.....or anything.

All we know is some random guy called Nero came along, was brought up by the order of the sword, and manipulated.

I'd love to know his whole entire back story and everything.

I don't see how he has anything to do with Vergil tbh. He can use a sword..........the yamato, which only vergil could use, but come on, it's no big deal, Dante can use every type of gun, sword and weapon going, and people don't think he's vergil lol.

Madness.

If Sparda had a brother, then Nero could be his son.....making Nero Dante's cousin, but who knows, maybe nothing like this will ever be mentioned.

Needless to say, another DMC is or will be in the works. The series is loved, so Capcom aren't likely to stop. I'm sure we'll find a few more things out anyway, and tbh I prefer Nero over Dante.

He has anger issues, but it makes him unique from Dante, and to me, Dante's pretty much past it now. There have been too many games with the spotlight on him, even though he's the main character for the series.

The next one though should be better than 4.....I loved 4, but I didn't love fighting the same bosses 4 times. They need to make it like the first game, where the bosses come back, but each time in a different form.

I still miss the times of DMC1. You finally thought you'd killed a boss for good, and then they come back, even harder, in a cooler form, and with more moves.

Phantom chasing you down the corridor........Griffon flying over to you with electric powers.

It was awesome, and still is the best and hardest in the series for me.

The Devil May Cry 4 novels explain that he got it whilst on a mission. He was attacked by an Assault and it wasn't until after the battle at some point that it changed. No direct reason has ever been given but according to the novels, Nero saw it as his arm changing in to how it was always supposed to have been, which would tie in with the idea that he's quarter demon.

I actually really liked nero. i thought the interplay between him and dante was fantastic. dante saw something of his younger self in nero (the cocky, hot headed, loudmouthed version of him self!) and nero began to look up to Dante as someone he has something in common with (the demon thing) Iwould deffo like to see nero's history explained but would love more to see the relationship between the two develope further.

Well hopefully we'll see Nero again. ;)
