Q: In all releases of Climax MotoGP my country flag is represented and I wondering if in the MotoGP 09/10 will be there as well.
Yes, the Cuban flag is included.

Q: As a hardcore Motogp console gamer. I would like to know if there is a possibility to use the number 1 plate when you become world champion and not 01, like the first Namco game. And when you really want to be a perfectionist Vale should lose his number one on his shoulder when you beat him in becoming world champ.

You can use the number 01 only, I’m afraid. We’ll get this on the list for next year.

Q: I disagree about tuck in as an action where you press a button. .You could achieve a better result by having rider position on the left stick fully manual. When the rider tucks in leaning forward he puts more weight on the front to keep the rear wheel down and by doing this, the rear end becomes lighter, so when you come into the corner you have to reposition him in order to balance the weight in order to prevent the rear wheel from sliding out.

The tuck-in and shift weight are being unified after extensive consumer playtest feedback.

Q: Is MotoGP09/10 going to have First person view?

It’ll have a cockpit / internal view, yes. It just wasn’t include in the early demos as it’s not ready to show the public yet….

Q: Is MotoGP09/10 going to allow fully ‘mappable’ controller input?

Not currently. This is because of the amount of risk and cost relating to testing every possible control permutation. We will try and include all control suggestions posted on the forums, so please try and express your desired layout on the forum thread ASAP.

Q: Mapping the tuck to the left trigger with the rider movement isn't going to make anyone cheat since you can't rubberband the entire movement. Or don't allow that to be mapped with the right stick. An elastic band method will only change to a piece of sellotape keeping a button pressed down. So you’re trying to stop something that is inevitable! What are your thoughts on this?

It isn’t inevitable. The tuck-in behaviour is fairly different from all other motorbike games and therefore you should hold off some of the opinions about it until you try it out, but suffice to say you cannot hold the button down at all times and perform well.

Q: Is there a possibility to get a flat tyre, and a toggle on/off option of course?

No, I’m afraid not.

Q: Last year the top speed of the MotoGP bikes weren’t like the real top speed (Mugello had a average top speed without slipstream from about 340Km/h) but even in 2008 at shanghai I reached between 320 and 330 not higher, will the top speed this time be more close to real life?

Yes, they will be within 5 MPH or thereabouts.

Q: When you’re in a darker place (like in Motegi with the tunnels) will you see your brake disks glowing because of the heat?

Not on this version I’m afraid.

BALANCING

Q: If when building a bike I would like to tweak the settings in an odd manner to have an advantage in setting times? Like zero breaking.

Adjusting braking power will not be possible, only an ABS control of sorts. All bike set-up will be tested to make sure no exploits exist.

Q: I'm kinda thinking that the career building should mostly be about something else than building the bike. After all in RL it's not the driver’s success that gets him better parts for his bike.

The bike upgrades is only one part of the career mode, there are many other aspects for you to enjoy, more detail on this will be revealed in the coming months. If you guys don’t enjoy the career mode formula, you can always turn to the normal MotoGP championships.

Q: If the Top Speed of a real MotoGP bike is 220mph or 250hp then there shouldn't be a "power up" that lets you accede that point. I think the upgrades should be more in the form of adjustability. Any adjustments should simply be made to make each player more comfortable with the bike.

The upgrades are to represent the continual revisions that real life teams make throughout the season. They will never push the bike to places that are unrealistic to the player expectation.

Q: Most importantly the bikes must have some way of making them different to each other for online racing, so we don't get 16 Rossi’s, typically with decals (not just helmets).

You have to remember that we are restricted by our licensors, so we can’t change the Valentino Rossi look in anyway as this would be in breach of contract. We can offer base bikes decorated in custom ways though, which you will see in the career mode.

Q: I just want a game that gives us the ability to make up the difference in the bikes natural ability through proper setup. Isn't that how it really is in moto gp.

You can set-up your career mode bike as you see fit.

Q: What I want from the game is adjustability that gives me the opportunity to try bridging the performance gap between myself and another rider, therefore meaning I’m not totally screwed if I take my Hayate online against your M1.

Balance is one of the focuses of the MotoGP team. Our main goal is to make all of the bikes competitive and fun, to give more variety and last-ability to the online experience.

Thx Monumental, about Q nr.3 concerning the rider tuck-in,and advanced controls,im very happy to hear you guys have been testing this, and are considering the option of also having it on the left stick(correct me if im vrong)Its not that anything was wrong with a tuck-in button, and im sure lots of people will welkom the option.I just think most of us whould be happier if the controls where a little more simple, and you could do good without being born with 12 fingers,or be some sort of genious able to perform 7 tasks at the same time.IMO it shouldent be about being a wizzard on a controller, and being able to operate a configuration nobody else can,but more about the lines you race, and the setup you have to back them up.On the subject of setups I think its very important that we get to take our setups online.P.S.Really looking forward to hearing what the community testers has to say now:)
