monster hunter on the psp slim

i have herd that if you have a psp slim then when you go to play mhf2 online you dont have to have x link or wi-fi and i just wanted to knoe if this is true.... i will be getting the psp and the game in 4 weeks and need to know so i can go download X-link if i need too

dont you still need wifi as you cant hardwire the PSP S&L to modem/router?
Wifi routers are cheap enough or even a wifi USB dongle.

Lulz my bad was skimming through what he wrote didnt catch the lol wi fi bit considering the PSP is technically a wi-fi device thats a silly auestion.
