Does the benefit patch at the close time?
thanks..
There is a inofficial patch for RE5 to make it playable on X1xxx Cards. By now it should be running slow but no longer crashes. Maybe a later version will raise the framerate.
Since i will not buy the game until i know i can play it on my X1800xtx i am not able to test it.
But many thanks to Boris Vorontsov for working on this patch.
It's a none official patch so sorry you can't post the link here.

The X1950 is not supported to run the game. The minimum required graphics cards are either an nVidia GeForce 6800What about the fact that X1950 is FAR more powerful than GeForce 7800?
It's ridiculous.

1. I didn't know moderators made typos.
2. I need that link. Otherwise I have wasted my money on a game simply my updated ATI Saphire graphics card isn't the brand you want me to use? That's complete bull.
3. If you don't want people link to patches to FIX the problem. The idea is to either allow the other party to fix YOUR problem or, (such a very complex Idea, you may need to sit down and prepare yourself) since it is YOUR company's game, YOUR COMPANY should fix the problem! You know, make a patch yourselves!
ps. I need that link. for whoever has it email it to me at .
First post and I bet you I'm going to get banned. Oh well.

1 I am only human!
2 PM the poster of the link to the patch if you want to risk it.
3 It's a unofficial patch and capcom won't be help responsible for . No doubt Capcom are working on a official one right now.
Why would you get banned for expressing a opinion?
I will remove your email from you post as it's not a good idea to advertise it on a public forum.
If you wish to risk the patch then PM the poster or you could wait for the official one.
Just google for the name of the author

1. Oh really?! :s
We all should be grateful for their efforts, they are doing the best they can. :therethere:
3.Shame though, that Capcom dosn't ask for others tor help. Think about how much time you guys would have saved. :D
I will risk to be baned from the forum but here is the link for the serie X.... of ATI GPU.
-- links to unofficial patches will be deleted, please see below. I apologise if that upsets you but we have good reasons for this.
there is no freedom of spech in this forum!!!! if I get baned from this forum here is my e.mail
--you would be better asking people to send you a pm via the forum software than posting your email address on the internet.
this patch is to be aplaid in the gamme directory. it realy works for all Serie X of ATI GPU.
The link surely will be deleted again. As mentioned above just google for Boris Vorontsov and you should find it yourself.
At present it is extremely unlikely that we will create a patch for the game that allows it to play on graphics cards that are not officially supported by the game as per the published minimum specs.
I am sorry if that disappoints owners of Radeoan <2400 cards.
As the official Capcom support for this title we cannot suggest that you use an unofficial patch, nor can we provide any information on where you might find one. Any use of such a patch would be entirely at your own risk, Capcom cannot support this and we would advise extreme caution downloading any executables such as unofficial patches from websites that you do not know and trust.
For the same reasons we cannot allow links to such a patch to be hosted on our forum, as that might imply official approval. We'll continue to edit them out of posts when we see them.
Well i couldn´t wait longer and bought re5 today. And all i can say it works fine on Pentium D and ATI X1800XTX @1024x768 and version 1.1 of the inofficial patch. 40FPS in the first benchmark. So my girlfriend can play RE5 together with me
But this really looks like a NVIDIA/Capcom deal to me. I never liked those "played best ond ati/nvidia" messages in games cause you never can say how the game will run on several graphicards that will come out.
And no, i´m not a ATI fanboy. My own PC runs with a Nvidia GTX295
Hi,
- many thanks for capcom for bringing this title to pc. Bringing new titles to pc is a big deal nowadays.
- I confirm that using google, typing "Boris Vorontsov" and using the first link that shows up, is the way to use the game with the hd1xxx cards.
When a card model is typed in the box of a game, usually denotes the processing power the game requires. In this case the model denotes that certain characteristics of a generation of cards are required. My x1900xt is more powerful than the hd2400 and 6800 and 7800 but lacks something the game requires. It doesn't seem very important though, since 3, 150 kb, files later the benchmark reports an average of 40something fps in 1024x768. I understand that this card is 3 years old, it is a legacy product according to the manufacturer, there are no new drivers BUT it used to be the second most powerful video card in the world. If you sacrifice the high resolutions, you can play this game with these old cards.
For some reason the pc section of capcom chose to cut out the very old cards, even though they can handle the game. A user with the same videocard for 3 years, is bad for the economy or something.;)
